The Lord of the rings and dune are the godfathers of fantasy and space sci-fi.
FUCKIN' FINALLY WE HAVE A TRAILER!!!
And the trailer uses a version of "ECLIPSE" by Pink Floyd.
That's still one of the few songs that tend to choke me up.
This version that was composed by Hans Zimmer for the trailer is AWESOME!!!
Read "DUNE" at least three times during the 70s and 80s.
Shit is still a CLASSIC!!!
I read the next two books after.
But they were trash in my opinion.
With Denis Villaneuve at the helm for this latest outing, I have hope.

When TOTO's name came up as that film's Composers,
I never laughed so hard out loud during a film in my life.
And I think I still have my DUNE glossary that was handed out at the theater.

I have read the books Fam. All Good.
This film is going to be more in line with books instead of the old 1984 film.
So there probably be a few scenes similar to the 84' flick but not many.

Dune (all 7 books) was and still is very popular.... especially by writers (who create most of the content for film/tv)
Game of Thrones borrows a lot from Dune, they've made major films and television series out of the books

The narration and inner monologs are what made the books. They weren't difficult reads but the concepts were mind blowing.
