Two examples:
I have a friend in NYC who tried crack just to see that the fuss was all about. That's the ONLY time he's ever tried it. One of my HS classmates tried crack and got to the point where sucked another man's dick on the basketball court for 2 rocks. Everyone was clowning him sucking a dick for 2 rocks, but I was the only questioning the dude for allowing another man suck his dick for 2 rocks. I know about 5 or 6 people that tried crack once, and never tried it again. Some people just have addictive personalities.
This isn't number one but it had gotta be vying for the most depressing story of 2024.

On a positive note, my pops used to smoke cigarettes. One day in '72, I was 6 years old, and I notice he wasn't smoking. Then, I noticed he didn't smoke the next day. He used to smoke these cigarettes called "More". I asked him about it about 20 years ago. I said, "You're the only person I've seen quit smoking cold turkey. Why?" He said, "Shit! You actually remember that?! I quit because it was a waste of money. More importantly, I was a single father and I noticed you copying everything I did. At your grandmother's house, I bent down to walk under something, and you did it too, even though you was shorter than pile of shit. That was when I told myself that I don't wanting you thinking smoking was cool.". He died in 2023. From 1972 to 2023, he never touched another cigarette. Now you know why I said he was my super hero the day he died. My pops was a fucking G with a weakness for fly whips! I miss that silly bastard!

Addiction can come in many different forms,like people can be addicted to food,drinking water and a host of alot of things.
But we're talking about weed,usually the gateway drug to other drugs,ask addicts what did they try second and a lot of them will say alcohol and then weed.
So when I said these "new people" I'm talking 90 and on up where weed smoking is such a big part of their daily lives from the time they get up til the time they go to bed.
I've had to stop dealing with em.
-Motherfucker missed his plane cause he was outside trying to finish a joint before he boarded the plane
-Doing delivery's as a career so they can smoke in between time,but end up smoking up all their money at the end of the week
-When was the last time you shaved?why are you sitting there in a daze twisting your hair on your head.....you should get a haircut
-Calling on the phone,a small child answers ....asks"Where's your mother at?" ,"Outside smoking" it's 11 at night
-"Try getting into driving trucks....","NNNAAAAAWWWWW, I can't do that cause I like to smoke to much" well stay broke and where you're at"
