*Colin Powell warning, also can’t sleep cause I’m passing a kidney stone*
I was having a discussion with some folks about the power of music and how it has been suppressed.
Music is extremely spiritual. More so than any other entertainment medium. It can alter our moods, motivate, and inspire. Especially for black people.
I think the powers that are in place recognized the power of music and the influence that hiphop was having on the culture.
There is still positivity and empowerment in rap, but it is suppressed. Anything that has to do with unifying the black house is held down.
Instead, they push the stripper/thot narrative, niggas killing the opp/drug pill popping self destructive message.
So while I hear what you are saying, I believe there are parties behind the scenes that control what is consumed by the masses.
Even gospel music has gotten away from what it used to be. You got Kirk Franklin wearing women's clothes gyrating on stage. You got that Keke chick with like 15 kids dancing on stage twerking while singing gospel with a BBL. WTFGotcha.

No lies told.Even gospel music has gotten away from what it used to be. You got Kirk Franklin wearing women's clothes gyrating on stage. You got that Keke chick with like 15 kids dancing on stage twerking while singing gospel with a BBL. WTF
Damn, you passin a kidney stone hope you get better or get it fixed. I didn't think music was that powerful until I got in my 20's and peeped how influential this shit is. I pattern my decision making cuz of rap once I peeped that I cut that shit out. Back in my teens and 20's I would play nothing but rap and that shit wasn't teaching me shit. A lot of these young niggaz who are apart of gangs are heavily influenced by rap that got them doing stupid shit. I hate how the honkies in charge took and dismantled the conscious side of hip hop. Shit music is so powerful African tribes would use instruments to heal people and they probably still do.Gotcha.

Hypocrites in the church always been there. They just hid it and cast judgement on others. How you a preacher and preaching to your flock with the boys you molested front row? Shout out to the church people who are themselves. You can follow god and still be you. Can’t stand church people who cast judgement on others which is a sin.No lies told.
You got Tyler Perry going to strip clubs and all these folks say they believe in God being churchgoing Christians. I'm not one to judge but I just hate the hypocrite people trying to tell others hiw they should live their life when they aren't perfect either and it be them Christians who be judging people the most.
