If true this is EASY money for Floyd. McGregor weighs as much as GGG walking around at 170. Why not fight GGG?

Win or lose Floyd gets 144M , dammmmmn.
Y'all gonna get enough of calling that flat faced cac's name. Floyd would beat him easily. Dude has no movement, isn't very fast, and isn't busy or engaged the entire round. He's a harder hitting

Plus, if you that excited to see triple g fight, why he running from andre ward?
Are you saying you think he isnt ducking Ward or do you think he can beat Ward?
If he disagrees with EITHER of those statements I'm officially thru with bgol

He'd be crazy to not want to cross promote this. It's a once in a generation event. The attention and money this would generate would be incredible.

Agreed.

I think Floyd gets the most out of this because McGregor is probably the biggest draw Mayweather could go against and he'd win easily but even the temporary elevation of a UFC star at this level makes it worth it on both sides.

ain't believing this until more credible sources have verified and printed the story or either fighter or their reps come out and confirms. i'm leaning on it being complete bullsheit on face value by the numbers alone. what mutha fuka gonna say 'cool' to the dude he's fighting getting over $140 million and you cool with only getting $10 million? greed alone would make a skinny azzed heroine addict off the street ask for more than that!

Bullshit.

Whenever a boxer/mma fighter crosses into the other sides arena the results are usually disastrous.

An MMA fighter would get humiliated in a boxing ring against even a c-list fighter and a boxer trying to get into the octagon would be embarrassed just the same.

McGregor going against a hof'er and boxing great like Mayweather in a boxing only fight would damage not only McGregor but UFC as well

The only way Dana would approve this is if it was MMA and in the octagon.

So in short this story is bullshit.

True. Exhibition fights for boxers have always changed their careers for the worse. Floyd only has to look at his father and uncle's entire era to know he dodged the 'boxer's slur'. Get out clean.

Gatti I enjoyed maybe Oscar because I hated Oscar.
That Oscar fight was fixed just for money, just like the Oscar and Hopkins fight was fixed.

In i think the 12th round DLH v Mayweather: Oscar was dazed, Floyd could have taken him out, but he purposely pulled back.

That DLH v Hopkins: That fake ass body punch. Then you realize after the fight, Hopkins and DLH became best of business partners and Hopkins was a major figure in Golden Boy Promotions. SMH. that's boxing for ya.

Look closely as the last fight of Triple G. The guy he fought went down on a punch that wasn't even there LOL

I thought I was the only one.

Dude got hit on the arm, the fucking arm and went down and for the 10 count. Clearly he did not want to be in there.

He wanted to be there cuz he got paid. . . I started really lookin at boxing after Mike Tyson fought Alex Stewart. Stewart went toe-to-toe with George "BRICK HANDS" Foreman, but goes limp with Mike in the 1st round. SMH.

We all know that Conor gives a fuck about weight classes. But if the fight takes place under boxing rules, he should be allowed to come in at anything under his walking-around weight without Mayweather crying about it. Don't care for either fighter, but they both know how to market themselves and get paid.

White to Mayweather: If you want to fight McGregor, call me (1:09)
UFC president Dana White doesn't see Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather fighting any time soon.

Even if the two sides genuinely wanted it to happen, White said, it's unlikely they ever could agree to terms. Just look at how long Mayweather took to negotiate the biggest fight of his boxing career, White added.

"Let me put it to you this way," White said on ESPN's Russillo & Kanell on Thursday. "Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are in the same sport. It took how long for those two to fight? Now imagine how hard it would be to get (Mayweather and McGregor) to fight. They're not in the same sport."

White, of course, was referencing the richest boxing match in history that occurred last year between Mayweather and Pacquiao. The two met after years of going back and forth in negotiations, pulling off a fight that generated more than $400 million in pay-per-view revenue and $72.2 million in ticket sales. Mayweather won via unanimous decision.

"Everybody always knew the money would be there for that Pacquiao fight," White said. "The money they made in this last fight pales in comparison to what they would have made if they fought in their prime. If those guys actually fought in their prime, when they were both on top of their game, it would have been even bigger. But that's the problem with boxing, man."

A fantasy fight between McGregor, the UFC's featherweight champion, and Mayweather would certainly draw a ton of money -- and Mayweather fueled speculation it could actually happen, calling it "possible." McGregor, who was recently pulled from UFC 200 because he refused to interrupt his camp for promoting duties, has also had fun with the headlines, sharing a photo on social media of the two squaring off.

White doesn't see it coming to fruition -- but ever the opportunist when it comes to promoting a big fight, he has said he wouldn't decline a call from Mayweather.

"Is this thing going to be MMA or boxing rules?" White said. "Who's getting the lion's share of the money? This and that. It's impossible. But like I've said, 'Floyd, you want to fight Conor, call me.' "

That Oscar fight was fixed just for money, just like the Oscar and Hopkins fight was fixed.
Why would anyone fix the Hopkins/DLH fight unless it was fixed for DLH to win? Why fix a fight Hopkins was going to win anyway?

Further proof that some of the people on here are functional crack addicts.
He seems to be implying that because they became business partners after the fight, that, that's proof there was a fix. ODH to Hopkins: I've got a proposition for you, in addition to your purse, my camp is prepared to offer you more money and a partnership in Golden boy if you beat me as you're already expected to.

That was a clean liver shot Oscar got dropped with. You hear Nazim Richardson screaming for BHop to throw to the body.

Here is the replay at the 4:05 Mark.

Money would possibly abandon his defensive style and just whoop this mufugguhs ass. No contest. Get that 50-0 record.

Would it he be 50-0? I'm not sure about this, dude isn't a professionally recognized boxer. I would think he'd have to be sanctioned by one of the governing bodies. Can anybody in the know, chime in on this question??????

The secret behind Conor McGregor’s striking skills

CONOR MCGREGOR is notoriously good at punching people in the face.

The charismatic Irishman has become a phenomenon in the UFC not only for his larger-than-life character but also his vicious skills inside the octagon – most namely his striking.

All but one of McGregor’s six UFC wins have come via stoppage from punches, no surprise as Conor developed a solid base as an amateur boxer before he moved into mixed martial arts.

He walked into the Crumlin Boxing Club at the age of 12 and his first trainer, Phil Sutcliffe, spoke to Boxing News about what McGregor was like in those developmental stages.

“He was just like any other kid who walked into the gym wanting to join a boxing club, he had to get his parents’ permission first,” he told us.

“He trained very, very hard, he was one of the kids you never had to shout at, he was very focused. He wanted to be a good boxer and he was getting good, he was progressing well. He won a few novice titles and boxed on plenty of shows to learn his trade but before he became a Junior he found another love and packed it in.

Getting sanctioned is just a matter of passing the physical and paying the fee.
