This is true but still doesn't take away from the fact that 1s personal life does not take away from one's greatness. In your example the song by Michael Jackson you named wasn't just written by him. You liked it then, and you still like it now. It's a great song and an important song. It doesn't take away from his legacy whatsoever

I originally was trying to drive home a point about Drake being the best. I was trying to say that most times people get best confused with their favorites. I do think Drake is better than Jay -Z, I would also put him as the greatest rapper of all time at this point. But my favorites are

Big Pun
Styles
Eminem
Nas
Busta Rhymes
Phife
and in that order at the moment
Respect
But i would NEVER think a person with that outstanding list of lyrical and stylistic giants would put Drake over Jay

To put it simply, Jay affected the Hip Hop culture. He’s in the minds, the DNA and touch the emotion of his listeners.
Drake affected the Hip Hop and Billboard charts.
I like Drake, but in regards to Hip Hop culture. Drake and his music doesn’t and didn’t have the same impact.
