Nah that's bullshit and the players who got the money shouldn't be ask to give back a got damn thing!

The PGA tour players need to look at the PGA tour to pay them for stabbing them in the back.

LIV defectors took the risk and got paid, it's not on them that the tours joined.

To my knowledge it was also stated that the defectors couldn't play in PGA tour events so they were kicked out of the PGA.

That's a risk, especially to go to a new startup and one without the history of the PGA.

Let's be clear... they shouldn't have to give BACK THE MONEY that's ridiculous

BUT....

I get the sentiment as misguided as it is

They were damn near treasonous and WELL compensated and get to come back no penalties like all is forgiven?

The risk was leaving the US league and potentially destroying it, to join a Middle Eastern one while being paid multi generational wealth.

Trump is a felon running for president said Haitians eat pets and we cacs using the n word on national TV.

Dem white boys ain't take no type if risk.

Pay a "penalty " yeah maybe but overall it's the cost of business.

They definitely took a risk. LIV was a startup league, the PGA tour is a historic league with history and prestige.

As you stated, those who left were looked at as treasonous traitors and would do anything for money. Their reputation definitely took a hit.

Think of it like this.

You worked at a company. A new startup company wanted you and paid you millions to come to their new company and you took it.

You didn't know if this company would succeed and you left a historical company for this new startup.

A year down the line your old company and your new company merge. You had nothing to do with this merger and had no knowledge of this or that it was in the works.

Once the merger's complete, employees from your old company want you to give the millions back that the new company gave you to leave.

Are you giving the money back? Would you feel entitled to give the money back? Do you think it'd be right for them to even ask you to give the money back?

See they didn't just "Come back".

The tours joined forces and merged. It's not their fault and not their concern. They did what's best for them and their families, took the money and took the risk.

The only thing the PGA players should be mad at is the PGA tour for joining forces with LIV. They feel ripped off because they were loyal to the PGA and got nothing. While the traitors got in some cases hundreds of millions of dollars.

I'm sorry but I just don't think the LIV players should feel guilty of gov a dime back. The PGA players need to holla at PGA ownership if they want anything.


Edit: If LIV folded and the players made and the PGA tour made an agreement to let them come back. Then imd feel that they should have to pay.

But being that the league's merged, naaaaah.

The PGA players should definitely be upset and feel betrayed. Shit I was shocked and felt betrayed for them.

But they can't be mad at the players for getting paid and expect them to give back anything.

They need to holla at the PGA with any issues that they have regarding the money. As a matter of fact that should've been worked about and agreed upon before the merger was complete.

But they didn't include the players in the decision and everyone was blindsided.

Oh and again I don't like golf but I like sports. And I watched the golf show on Netflix and saw the reaction when players left and the next season they merged.
