Thats NBA tho, the top of the scale for both avg and median salaries in terms of team sports. If you're only looking at the top than the highest salaries in Team sports in the world are all in soccer, 3 of them in Ligue 1 with Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. The other in the Premiership with CR7. NHL avg salary is close to $2.7mil and median $1.875 mil which is very good, the median is higher than the NFL's $1.22 mil and MLB's $900k. Avg for NFL is higher at $3.25 mil since QBs, LTs and other high paid positions bring the avg up. MLB avg at $4mil as well due to pitchers and star 5 tool players bringing it up as well. Athletic brothas that are at least 6 ft and 200 lbs can live very lavish lifestyles with NHL contract as long as they're not gambling it all away and paying thots to get abortions like Evander Kane

When I was forced to quit because I was running around with my knuckleheaded cousins gettin into all kinds of arrest record shenanigans they offered to pay my entire way to keep me on their kids' teams (shit was costing an amount so ludicrous anually I won't even disclose it between the ice time and constant traveling and hotel bookings, tournament registrations etc.).
You right though, not one of my travel teammates' family's yearly incomes were less than half a milly.
