Thanks for backing me up, man. Folks are so quick to say somebody is lying. Thanks for coming out with your story as well. That was what this thread was about.

No offense man,
I hate when motherfuckers do this shit. I mean the dude is watching this shit, and goes and gets his mother to cosign on this sighting, and you are suggesting some dreamlike mass hysteria. I saw one myself when I was around his age, it was in broad daylight, a cigar shaped object was moving across the skyline and just dissappeared into a cloud. It never came out of the other side, that was the only time I ever saw anything UFO related. I envy the original poster, that is a really cool thing to have experienced

Yeah, if I saw an unidentified flying object I would tell someone, but it has to be noted that ufo means just that. I couldn't identify it, I didn't know what it was.

Does not neccesarily means aliens
Does not neccesarily mean spaceships
or a plane
or a helicoper
or baloons with flares attatched to them.
etc
etc
etc

Now this isn't directed at anyone.

The problem I see with UFO's, and ufo sighting is (possibly because of western culture in general) the association of words like alien, extraterrestrial, spacecraft to the acronym UFO. So much so, that the possibility that it could be a military jet, lights, a hoax, etc etc etc isn't even what people primary think of if they did see a UFO . Because of what the word has been associated with everytime someone was exposed to it they'll subconciously automatically assume it was a spaceship and argue it to the grave.

There have been plenty of things i've seen in the distance, given my shitty vision, that I automatically assumed was something. But at a closer glance, not the case. Un-documented ufo sightings, and blurry, nighttime videos are what I believe to be just that at more or less extremes.

But, snowballing here, the idea that our "government" has the means to suppress or hide proof of alien contact from the public is giving them an incredible amount of credit. Of course I know nothing about a potential alien race and their technological capabilities but if they could communicate with us it may be remotely possible to supress it. But if they have been comming here for potentially hundreds, thousands, millions of years? Absolutely not. That would require a pretty intimate level of communicationwith the aliens in order to basically get them not to make themselves obvious. Or on the other hand the idea of our government and all of their technological capabilities or rather a lack therof being able to anticipate and supress all well documented alien contact. Nah..

Usually I don't talk about what I personally have seen, but the internet gives me a little comfort in sharing. (Even then I aint totally open about everything I've seen or experienced)

Thanks for sharing your experience GOW. I also saw some things in my childhood. My earliest sighting was during a summer night when I was 9-10 back in 76/77. We lived on the first floor of a duplex right across the street from an 8ft fenced, open grassy field that was a city block long and 1/2 as wide. I woke up to a bright light coming into my bedroom window that faced the field so I climbed off the top bunk to look out the window.

What I saw can still cause my heart to beat faster when I think about it. There was this large squat football shaped glowing object in the field no more than 200 feet away. Actually the thing was above the field about three feet or so and it was glowing brightly. I mean it looked like it was daytime where the light was. The street was lit up and the street lights had turned off. The neighbors houses and their cars were lit up like it was daytime!

Now mind you it was summer time and hot so all the windows were open. I was practically outside except for the screen but I couldn't hear anything! I pressed my face against the screen to look further left and right, up and down but nothing. No normal noises like crickets or frogs or dogs or cars. NOTHING except for the wind.

The UFO didn't make any noise either unless you count the rustling sound of the tall weeds and grass that was underneath it. They moved like waves, swirling and swaying in unison one way and then another.

I tried to wake my younger brother on the bottom bunk but he wouldn't budge so I went back to looking at it. I could tell it was metallic but it also seemed like the light was coming through the metal or was just on the surface of the metal. (hard to explain) Suddenly it shot straight up and my head followed it giving me a screen burn on my forehead and nose. That thing kept going straight up until it looked like a star in the night sky. I kept looking for awhile longer and then noticed that the crickets and frogs started up again. I climbed back into my top bunk but couldn't go to sleep till the sun came up.

I told my parents that morning, but they called it a dream. My brother and I went across the street to the field and I could see a roundish patch of tan/brown grass. The rest of the grass and weeds were green. When I told my parents I got yelled at for crossing the street and taking my little brother with me. Days later there were signs put up on the fence saying no tresspassing. So I was scared to climb the fence after that but I wanted so bad to get over to that dead patch of grass.

I am glad that I know for sure that this exists. Some folks believe, others are skeptical. I don't care. People have their right to their opinions. Some folks could walk into their houses, past the pink elephant and to their TV like they didn't see anything. If it weren't for my mother, I would probably think to this day that I made the whole thing up in my mind. BUt seeing it with someone credible solidified it for me.

I know what I saw. It wasn't tricks, or a hologram, or a government ploy. This was '86, nothing that big is going to be as quiet as a running microwave oven. Now, maybe, but not in 1986...we just weren't that advanced then. And then, if something like that WAS able to be faked, why on a street like Robertson, one street behind Miles in Cleveland, Oh? I don't need the internet to hide behind, as some people do. I have shared my story with others, WTF cares if they think I'm crazy. I know what I saw

my best friend growing up said he saw one on our street when we were kids.
He said it was a metallic round disk
i think he said it wasnt shiny though.
i hovered slowly about 20feet above the street lights.
it was quiet.
he said if i didnt believe him i could ask the neighbors
i never did, i was to embarrased to.
I did ask his younger brother but he never wants to talk
about it:eek:
i think i believe him though, he has no reason to lie
about it

this thread is a nice change of pace:yes:

I remember last year me and my girlfriend were outside my house. She was in her car and I was standing outside holding the car door open. We were out there for like 30 minutes and I just happened to look into the sky. The sky was clear so I was focused on one of the very few stars that were out that night. All of a sudden it just zipped up and flew away leaving a beam of light. It happened in like 3 seconds. And right after that we started hearing these very stranger noises. I hopped in the car and spent that night at her house that night haha

And back in the early 90s (when In Living Color was popular) me and my neighbor were playing in my backyard. I were just throwing sticks around and I looked at him and he was staring at something in his backyard. I tried to look in that direction and there was a green orb of light floating in the sky. As soon as I said "What is that?" it started to float towards us. I wanted to run so bad but I couldn't move or take my eyes off of it. Then it sped up and before it crossed the fence it went higher into the sky and just vanished. We both speak about it to this day

Keep sharing I'm sincerely interested.

While working a late nighter I by chance looked up to see a red light in the sky near the horizon. I watched the light move from left to right, hover and then move again. I mentioned it to some co-workers who seemed non plussed about it (Black guys) calling it a helicopter or airplane ... the one White guy that watched it with me froze up when during it's hovering phase it just blinked off. We looked at each other shook our heads and then went back to work knowing nobody else there saw it or would have believed us if we told what we saw.

Later that morning, while getting breakfast ready for when I got off work, my mom opened the blinds and saw a UFO hovering in the air that blinked out too. She was all excited when I got home.

Weird coincidence.

I think they are really UFO's, they might be un-manned probes for all we know, I mean shit we're using drones in Iraq, u think super-intelligent E.T.'s don't have that shit, clown me if u want, but I believe in UFO's. Out of the millions of sightings at least one had to be real.

Iv'e seen 3, I was with someone each time. I couldnt tell the shape of the object on two of the occasions because the lights were bright as fuck. The last ufo(s) I saw were triangle shaped, there were about 5 craft in a triangle formation, no noise, no lights. Looked like they were floating or something. Then they just took off, no vapor trail or noise. -could have been sound but they were so freakin high up, hard to tell- Anyway after about 10 minutes, here comes 3 fighter jets screaming by us in the same direction. All three sightings were in Ohio, 1 in cleveland 2 in cincy

I saw one with about 5 other co-witnesses after a football game while driving home. Large, triangular shaped vessel with white lights. Didn't even notice it at first until I pulled up behind a couple of cars that had stopped for no reason and the people were all standing near their vehicles and pointing up. When i saw what they were looking at my blood ran cold--the damn thing seemed to come a little closer, then simply vanished. it wasn't a plane, or a helicopter, or swamp gas (lol @ that explanation). Most repeated statement of that night: "What the fuck was that?" Absolutely surreal experience.

A UFO is merely an unidentified flying object. It's no big deal that someone might see something in the sky and not know what it is. However, when you start claiming to have seen an extraterrestrial spaceship, that's when it's time to prep the rubber room.

Ok,
I had an xperience myself a few years back. But I dont claim that thing was anything Alien. It didnt look all Sci-Fi and shit.
The thing about it that got me was:

1. Its size
2. No Sound
3. And it scared the sweet Jesus outta me.
4. And that long after that, I realized that ppl all over the globe saw smthng similar,if not the same.At least thats what they said.

So when I hear about a story that som1 encountered smthng up close and personal and just kinda sits back, eats some cheese flavored popcorn, sippin on a styro while watching the thing....
AHHHHIIIIIIIIIdunno, maaaan!

Coz when i saw this thing hovering above me...I was G.O. GONE, u hear me???!!

I ran about 2 miles full speed to the house, lost my Cd Player and didnt give 2 shits about it... and never even looked back! I was home in prolly less than 10 minutes, doors locked, curtains closed, lights off!

So basically, I felt this thing b4 I saw it. I mean it was str8 fear! That animal instinct kicked the fucc in.hard!
I have never felt anything like that b4 or since and dont want to either.
Some of u gon try and clown. But to me this shit really got to me. I am thankful that I was not a kid when this happened!

----------------------------------------------------

By the way, all these abduction reports I think are cases of Sleep Paralysis!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

and if u ever had this disorder....thats the closest thing I can compare to the fear that damn thing put in me that nite.

If I had seen one, I doubt I'd tell anyone right now. Hell, a UFO could land on the lawn of the white house, an alien could walk out and shake hands w/bush, get back in the ship and leave... all caught on live national news, and in a few weeks ninjas would act like it never happened.

But, deep down I think we all know that 'aliens' do exist. There have been multiple, maybe thousands, of sightings dating many thousands of years in the past... reported in regions far away from each other. It's not a global unconscious coincidence...

I'd love to have the chance to see a space ship, or actually talk to some of the aliens... even reading the transcripts from the meetings that were had with whoever it was in the govt that did get to meet them would be amazing.
