Yeah, if I saw an unidentified flying object I would tell someone, but it has to be noted that ufo means just that. I couldn't identify it, I didn't know what it was.
Does not neccesarily means aliens
Does not neccesarily mean spaceships
or a plane
or a helicoper
or baloons with flares attatched to them.
etc
etc
etc
Now this isn't directed at anyone.
The problem I see with UFO's, and ufo sighting is (possibly because of western culture in general) the association of words like alien, extraterrestrial, spacecraft to the acronym UFO. So much so, that the possibility that it could be a military jet, lights, a hoax, etc etc etc isn't even what people primary think of if they did see a UFO . Because of what the word has been associated with everytime someone was exposed to it they'll subconciously automatically assume it was a spaceship and argue it to the grave.
There have been plenty of things i've seen in the distance, given my shitty vision, that I automatically assumed was something. But at a closer glance, not the case. Un-documented ufo sightings, and blurry, nighttime videos are what I believe to be just that at more or less extremes.
