The Square root of a number is nothing but a number to the power of 1/2. Now if you wanted to get real technical you can say that the square root of any number or better yet taking the root of any number ends up being the result + or - .
Now if you were doing proofs
4^1/2 + 2 can equal 4 or zero.
4^1/2 = (+/-) 2
(+)2 + (+) 2 = 4
Or
(-)2 + (+) 2 = 0
When Terrance is talking I can’t tell if he is doing absolutes or proofs, or he could be conflating both to fit his desired result. Most math of how we construct our world is based on absolutes aka absolute values, but in certain circumstances ppl get technical and will incorporate proofs.

I think he is mixing absolutes and proofs. You know mathematical theories get. it will be the little nuances they use to prove a result.

Anytime Rogan has a non certified person talking math or science, their should be a kid from Ga Tech, Cal Tech, Polytechnic Institute, NC A&T, or MIT fact checking simultaneously.
Still watching the show with Terrance. I wish I knew chemistry the way I know math and spanish, I know some stuff he is saying are half truths. But the good part is he has ppl talking, just need to get them back to STUDYING it.
