Iran's supreme leader to deliver rare public sermon

By Kaitlin Easton

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is set to lead Friday prayers and deliver a public sermon that could shed light on the Islamic republic's plans after a massive missile attack on Israel.
Khamenei's rare Friday sermon — a first in almost five years — comes three days before the one-year anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
The supreme leader, who wields the highest authority in Iran, will lead Muslims in prayer at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla mosque in central Tehran, his official website said.
The prayer will follow "a commemoration ceremony" at 4pm AEST for Hassan Nasrallah, the slain leader of Tehran-backed Lebanese armed movement Hezbollah.
Khamenei last led Friday prayers in January 2020 after Iran fired missiles at a US army base in Iraq, in response to a strike that killed revered Revolutionary Guards commander Qasem Soleimani

Two consecutive days of Israeli strikes in Syria

By Heloise Vyas

An Israeli air strike killed three people in Syria's capital Damascus yesterday, a war monitor said, in the second strike in as many days on a neighbourhood that is home to security headquarters and embassies.
"An Israeli air strike targeted a flat in a residential building in the Mazzeh neighbourhood frequented by Hezbollah leaders and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards," the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
It killed at least three people, two of them foreigners, the monitor said.
State news agency SANA on Thursday said Syrian air defences intercepted "hostile" targets over the countryside west of the capital.
It reported three civilians were killed and three wounded.
Wednesday's strike hit around 500 metres from Tuesday's strike, which killed six people, including a television anchor, three Iran-backed fighters, one of them from Hezbollah, and three civilians.
Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria since the country's civil war erupted in 2011, mainly targeting army positions and Iran-backed fighters, including those of Hezbollah.
Israeli authorities rarely comment on individual strikes but have said repeatedly they will not allow Iran to expand its presence in Syria.
The strikes have intensified in recent days, including in areas near the border with Lebanon.

Iran Supreme Leader says Muslim nations share 'common enemy' in rare sermon

By Aoife Hilton

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has delivered a public sermon for the first time in almost five years.
He had a rifle by his side as he addressed thousands of worshippers carrying portraits of slain leaders of Iran's "Axis of Resistance" against Israel and the United States.
During the sermon, he said Muslim nations have a "common enemy" and have to "strap the belt of defense from Afghanistan to Yemen, from Iran to Gaza and Lebanon".
He argued Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel was "logical and legal" and "the brilliant action a couple of nights ago by our armed forces" during Iran's missile attack on Israel was "legal and legitimate".
The missile attack was the "minimum punishment" for Israel's crimes, he said.
"Every country has the right to defend itself from aggressors," he said.
"Israel is pretending to win through assassinations and civilian killings.
"What is accumulated from Israel's recent behaviour is increasing anger and strengthening resistance motives.
"The bloodshed should not weaken your strength.
"The resistance in the region will not back down.
"Israel will never be victorious over Hezbollah and Hamas.
"Iran will not procrastinate or rush to carry out its duty."
He also accused the US of preserving Israel's security as a cover for seizing the region's resources, with an aim to make Israel "a gate to energy exporting from the region to Europe".

The Pentagon will spend $1.2 billion to service ships in the Red Sea and replenish stocks of missiles launched to repel attacks by Iran and the Houthis.

Syria is for Israelis what the Ho Chi Minh Trail was for the US in Vietnam ! Israelis are in the exact same position... and we already know how it's going to end !

They're confirming what Nasrallah used to say!!!!

Nasrallah: No peace in Middle East as long as Israel exists

Haaretz

Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said in a recent interview that as long as Israel exists, there will be no peace in the Middle East.

"The region will not see the light of peace or any stability because of Israel's aggressiveness and militant nature," Nasrallah said.

Despite hiding out in a bunker since 2006's Second Lebanon War, Nasrallah recently spoke to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting radio station, Army Radio reported.

The Hezbollah leader went on to say that his Lebanon-based guerilla group is stronger than ever and is prepared for its next confrontation with Israel. "Any Israeli attack on Lebanon, Iran, Syria or Gaza will be met with a fierce response," Nasrallah said.

He added that Hezbollah has grown logistically and militarily stronger, claiming that all of Lebanon has united against a common enemy - Israel.
One subject Nasrallah did not broach in the interview is the assassination last February of the group's second-in-command, Imad Mughniyeh. Nasrallah did not discuss how or when his group would avenge the killing.

Recent Israeli intelligence reports, however, have suggested that Hezbollah is planning to abduct Israelis abroad as revenge for Mughniyeh's assassination.

Israel is capable of striking selected targets in Iran with high efficiency, an unnamed former US military official, quoted by NBC, said.

Also, according to the channel, Israel (if necessary) will likely receive assistance from the United States in the form of intelligence from satellites and other sources.

The IDF announced preparations for a significant attack on Iran in response to an Iranian missile strike earlier this week. Meanwhile, the IDF’s targeted raids on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon will intensify in the coming days, with 400 Hezbollah operatives reportedly killed since the start of the ground operation.

In addition to strikes in Lebanon, the IDF has attacked weapons storage facilities in Syria intended for Hezbollah and is ramping up attacks in Gaza as signs of Hamas resurgence emerge. The situation remains critical as the conflict expands across multiple fronts.”

Hey bro tell me if this makes sense to you

Yep in a nutshell ! a military analyst from the BBC told something similar Israelis better think twice before trying something of significance against Iran cuz they know that the accuracy could be lethal , he added that they also have to take into account how many interceptor missiles they have left it’s been a year and those things can’t be produced like artillery shells !

  • Israel’s military unleashed a new wave of attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, causing “massive explosions”, with “flames reaching up to the sky and the sound reverberating” around the Lebanese capital, according to our correspondent.
  • Israeli forces also bombed a mosque in central Gaza, killing at least 18 Palestinians and wounding dozens more.
  • A Lebanese security source told Al Jazeera that Hezbollah has lost contact with the chairman of its executive council, Hashem Safieddine, who is widely touted as the group’s potential next leader, since last Friday.
  • Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in cities across the globe – from Paris to New York and Cape Town – calling for an end to Israel’s war on Gaza, as the one-year anniversary of the conflict nears.
  • In Gaza, at least 41,825 people have been killed and 96,910 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 2023. In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 people were taken captive.

Idk :dunno::dunno::dunno: sounds about right

“Israeli intelligence has been supplying Lebanon with radios loaded with explosives since 2015 - Mossad has come up with a system that allows you to read messages only by holding the device with both hands, which means losing both hands

Mossad programmed the pagers so that the message could only be read by pressing two buttons - this means that a person would use both hands and, having injured them, would be unable to fight, The WP writes, citing Israeli sources. As the publication found out, Mossad had been planning the operation since 2022, and since 2015 it began to supply the first radios with explosives to Lebanon.

For nine years, the Israelis were content to eavesdrop on Hezbollah, reserving the option of turning the radios into bombs in the event of a future crisis. During that time, they perfected the design so that the explosives were undetectable. The bomb component was so carefully hidden that it was virtually impossible to detect, even if the device was disassembled.

Hezbollah even ended up indirectly paying the Israelis for bombs that killed or wounded many of its agents and civilians, since Apollo outsourced the production of the gadgets— the devices were actually assembled in Israel’

Say brother When you have time, watch this clip….

You’re likely to appreciate the info or should I say the point of view towards Iran’s possibilities

Iran Warns Israel BIGGER Strike Coming, Hezbollah OVERWHELMS IDF Invasion w/ Prof. Mohammad Marandi

He simply spoke the truth and checked all those boxes

- that relationship between Russia and Iran has drastically changed since the invasion of Ukraine, Iran used to ask for a minimum now they can have everything, militarily speaking it’s HUGE ! they‘ll be provided with top-shelf equipment (S400, SU 35, SU 34 ….etc) if not already done

- when you can close the straight of Hormuz and destroy any given important oil infrastructures in the entire region with your ballistic missiles you already have deterrence, people with logic should understand that, Iran is not in a hurry with that atomic bomb cuz they can crush capitalism by sending the price of a barrel at an altitude never seen before !

- if Israelis are intelligent enough, they should understand that those missiles used in that last attack where not that accurate which won’t be the case if they attack Iran, the prospect is Iranians will destroy all their air bases one after another crushing their only real asset air power !

he verbally whooped that ass by telling only the truth :eek2::oops:

Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone with Emmanuel Macron today, the Israeli prime minister's office stated. Netanyahu told the French president that imposing arms embargoes on Israel “would serve Iran and its proxies,”according to Reuters.

“The prime minister emphasized that Israel's actions against Hezbollah create an opportunity to change the reality in Lebanon to improve stability, security, and peace throughout the region,” the office of Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement, as he had already posted an address specifically directed at the occupant of the Élysée Palace online.

The day before, Emmanuel Macron had called for an end to arms deliveries to the Hebrew state used in Gaza during an interview on French public radio, France Inter, marking the first such statement since a year of war in the Palestinian enclave.
