That would've been a physical as team...

Westbrook
Thabo
Lebron
Serge
Perkins

The Beard

wow...

just reading that roster?

See that is a completely organic draft, trade, free agent built squad right there.

If a 2012 Lebron had lost with THAT roster?

aint NO pleas would have been copped

no sympathy like KD got.

that is all I'm saying.

Nobody would be beating that team.:smh:

I'm sure they would have some mistakes but...that's the Lebron that was trying to win defensive players of the year(the only award he was actually upset about not getting)

Shooting would've been a problem

OAKLAND — Kevin Durant was fouled on the final play on Sunday and LeBron James should’ve been called for a technical foul a few plays earlier for hanging on the rim.Or so says the NBA’s last two minute officiating report, released on Monday.

You’d think that maybe Durant — who hinted at his displeasure about the no-call on that Richard Jefferson trip — might take a little solace in the fact the NBA was transparent about the mistakes.

Nope. After the Warriors’ Tuesday practice, Durant loudly backed the officials and called out the NBA for “throwing them under the bus” in L2M reports he said should be abolished.

“The refs didn’t lose us that game,” Durant said. “We lost that game. I think it’s bull**** the NBA throws the refs under the bus like that. This happened to be in our favor, not even in our favor. We don’t get the win. But to say I got fouled and the technical (on Lebron)? Just move on. Don’t throw the refs under the bus like that. Now the next game, that group of refs, whoever it is, they’re going to come out intentionally ref the game, try to get everything right and perfect without just going out there relaxing and trying to make the right call. You can’t fine us for when we go out there and criticize them and then throw them under the bus for the two-minute report. What about the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter? I think its bull****. They should get rid of them. Refs don’t deserve that. They’re trying their hardest to get the play right, then you look at the play in slo-mo and say it’s wrong. I think it’s bull**** that they do that. Full of **** that you throw the refs under the bus like that after the game. Like it matters. The game’s over. We move on.”

If you look at the Toronto/G.S. game you can see how great LeBron is.. If you notice the Warriors collapse and double up every time in the paint..
Most teams cannot solve this problem because in order to attack it you have to use your brains not your athleticism and most teams in the nba aren't that smart. To make matter worse once you miss the Warriors are off and running and are almost impossible to beat in transition.
With LeBron playing qb he reads their defense and attack it base on where the double team comes from.
As great as players like Westbrook are they will never be able to beat a sophisticated defense like the Warriors due to their inability to read the defense correctly.

Outside of that the Raptors can't apply the continuously pressure on the perimeter like the Cavs...

Irving
Liggins
Jefferson
Lebron
Shum

All do a solid job defending...

Part of defending against the Warriors is taking care of the ball on your end.. Because once you miss or turn over they are off and running on the other side.
Notice how when the Cavs play them they are able to slow the game down, not allowing 40 pt quarters and most of their games are in the 109 points per game.
This is because the they thier time with their shots attacking the paint intelligently and not give in to taking wild low % three pointers, something the Warriors love to bait clubs into taking.

Yea this was on full display during the first finals. The crazy thing is the Cavs have shown they can and don't mind running and gun with them.

They only problem I feel the Cavs have is creators within the second unit. Jordan McRae can and have created in the past but I guess they're not comfortable with him at this period.
Shumpert don't turn the ball over and is a tough defender so that's why he gets the time but Jordan would be my spark plug off the bench.

In the finals they will be forced to play a shallow bench, but so will the Warriors due both teams playing at such a frantic speed and I don't mean running and gunning like the Blazers, both teams play faster harder and faster, and most players including some on both teams bench cannot keep up and think fast enough to play.
For example when the Warriors collapse on you in the paint you have less than a sec to get the ball in the right player hands, if your mentally slow chances are you will turn over the ball, players like McRae and even Ian Clark does not have the mental speed to keep up, so players like LeBron, Irving, K Thompson, Curry and Durant have to log in longer mins.
To the Cavs advantage Liggins appear to be able to play at that high pace and fit in just well on defense.

Well I'm not sure what gonna happen because the Cavs are looking to unload birdman and Mo.
In beginning of the season there was chatter about them waiting on Mario Chamlers...when if he's ready could be another defender, shooter and champion.
Me personally I'm more concerned with the middle.

Orlando is looking to get rid of a few young pieces but I don't know if they're looking for expiring contracts or not!!!

Chalmers will be a waste he thinks and moves to slow and constantly get beat off the dribble, plus he cannot hit the outside shot, something that James hates, Birdman and Mo are both done, so getting another big man would be nice, to be honest they had a few big men in the summer league playing for them, who I think are better than Birdman, don't know if they are on their D-League roster, but basically they need a athletic healthy body for back up and trash mins.
Adding this depth should help keeping them healthy for the finals, but non of those guys will get any run in the big games.

Man I don't know which Chalmers you're talking about. Rio was having a helluva season with Memphis before he got injured. Yes that was last year, but he and damn near will be a year when he's ready to play, but that's better than a empty slot...

This ain't the game I looking for but it will do. Yea it's just one game but it's clear to why they'd want him to join the team.

You will never beat the Warriors passing alone.. To have a shot your team must have dribble perpetrators who are able to pass off the dribble, plus outside shooters who keeps the paint honest, then on defense you need guys who can guard the pick and roll while being able to switch and not get burned with miss matches.
To be honest they may be the most unique team in the history of the sport in terms of style of play.

To me he is a player who is better off playing on a small market team because he tends to have mental laps during big games. On the Cavs they look for fast thinking guards who can hit the outside shot plus dribble penetrate, I just don't rate Chalmers that high on none of that stuff.

Just know I normally don't make crazy stuff up. When things are said I do my best to see how it could work, because apparently that person thinks it could.

Me personality I see where Rio would fit in easily and quickly.

Now this the only reason why I mentioned his name, because during media day the GM spoke about him.

Cavs seeking replacement after Mo Williams changes mind and retires

The Cleveland Cavaliers have contacted Kirk Hinrich, Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole after veteran Mo Williams changed his mind and told the team he’s retiring, according to Joe Vardon of cleveland. com.

Williams, who averaged 8.2 points last year in 41 games, including 14 starts, had indicated he was returning just a week ago.

But the 33-year-old apparently had a change of heart, leaving the Cavs looking for a veteran free agent to back up point guard Kyrie Irving. Chalmers and Cole both played with LeBron James on the Miami Heat. Cole, the youngest of the three at 27, had career highs in points (10.6), assists (3.7), rebounds (3.4) and minutes (26.6) last year in New Orleans, while Chalmers’ season in Memphis was cut short by a torn Achilles. Hinrich, the oldest at 35, came off the bench for Chicago and Atlanta last season.

Cleveland also traded for rookie point guard Kay Felder on draft night. Cavs reserve small forward Richard Jefferson re-signed after initially announcing he was retiring, while starting shooting guard J.R. Smith remains unsigned.

Williams wasn’t a big scorer for the Cavs, but he wasn’t far removed from his peak. He scored a career-high 52 points with Minnesota in January 2015.

Cavs reportedly contacted Kirk Hinrich, Norris Cole, Mario Chalmers to fill PG depth

chalmerscole.jpg

By James Herbert Sep 27, 2016 • 1 min read

Anticipating Mo Williams' retirement, the Cleveland Cavaliers contacted free agent point guards Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole and Kirk Hinrich this offseason, according to cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.

The Cavaliers are reportedly "in no rush" to sign any of them, preferring to let rookie Kay Felder show what he can do in training camp and give Jordan McCrae and Markel Brown a chance to prove they can handle the ball. Even if a signing isn't imminent, though, it would be wise to remember that Cleveland has these guys on its radar. It would be strange for the defending champions to go the entire season with just one proven point guard and a rookie as his only real backup.

A quick look at the 3.
*Chalmers not only has experience playing with LeBron James, he fits how the Cavaliers play. He does not need the ball in his hands and has been effective next to James as a defender and spot-up shooter. When healthy last season, he capably started for the Memphis Grizzlies. Unfortunately, though, he tore his Achilles tendon in March and has been recovering ever since.

*Like Chalmers, Cole knows what James expects because of their time together with the Miami Heat. When he had his jersey retired at Cleveland State in February, James was in attendance. He's the youngest of the three players, and he averaged a career-high 10.6 points and 3.7 assists in 26.6 minutes for the banged-up New Orleans Pelicans last season.

*Hinrich, 35, is significantly older than Chalmers and Cole. He's not the excellent perimeter defender that he used to be, but he knows how to run an offense and might be most amenable to a small role. Before he was sent to the Atlanta Hawks at the trade deadline, he made 41.1 percent of his 3-pointers for the Chicago Bulls last year.

To be honest I'd rather they go after Cole using him strictly as a change of pace point specialist. but I am not to thrilled with him either because it was the constant dribble penetration by the Spurs that killed the Heat.
