Well this is what I observed. I think Jenkins is hurting. I think we can all agree he's solid. HE's a go getter. He goes after the football.

Scandrick is a nickel corner. I think we can agree he's solid in his role when he's playing that role.

Then here's Newman. We move on from him whatever. I'm done for sticking up for this secondary. But in my observation he lacks technique. And this whole 10 yards off his receiver shit is silly. Its silly because he gets beat deep doing it. And the sad thing is, when he's not playing 10 yards off his receiver he's not bad. He gets beat PLAYING 10 YARDS off his receiver. Shit is stupid.

But it may be time to move on from cat due to his salary. I'd rather him be our 3rd or 4th corner but hard to due that with the salary cap. I have no faith in this team upgrading all of the positions this team needs to in order to go into next season but I said it earlier in the season and i'll say it again. Cowboys are no in no position to pass up the best player in the draft unless he's a running back or receiver. Any other position is fair game. I don't care if its a quarterback.

The secondary has been terrible for years now...

and the shit still has yet to be address...Its just glossed over...

going 19 - 2 in November usually causes the Cowboys to think all is okay...

But its longevity not just runs that win late in the year

Defense isn't that easy lol. Especially Rob Ryan's defense. He has one of the more complicated defenses in the league. These cats are constantly lost. Part of it is due to them not having a training camp which is why I felt there would be a learning curve here. Its tough. While some of our guys are lost Rob Ryan himself is lost as well. I think he thinks he inherited the second coming of that dooms day defense and he didn't even get a shell of it. The nigga got a College football defense. Rob doesn't have his personnel yet. He'll get it and our defense will be solid. But they ain't there yet. Everyone talking about corner but shit we need a pass rusher just as bad. I can't even imagine how cold our D would be if we had Von Miller or Aldon Smith alongside Ware. We could've never got those guys but just hypothetically.

I'm not too mad because this offseason I feel niggas on Sensabaugh's level got MONSTER contracts and there no better than Sensi. I'd like to keep Elam for depth purposes but we definetly need to look for another starter.

I agree defense is more than what they said...but outside of the blown assignment, The truth is the corners and the rest of the secondary ALWAYS LEAVE FOLKS OPEN...the pass rush isnt there because folks are open fast...

I disagree with that. We blitzed all game long and got 0 sacks to show for it. Our blitzes don't even get to the quarterback. That's what pisses me off. We blitz and Eli still had time to throw. Our pass rush is non-existant. And that's with the best pass rusher in the league. That's sad. Doesn't matter who we blitz. And i'm not exactly sure what Ryan's defenses asks his safety's to do. It seems like he asks them to blitz and attack the run more than anything. When we get beat deep I rarely see a safety helping out. They're usually nowhere in sight. Sometimes they are the ones being blitzed.
