I dont think Joe said fuck your friendship.
I think he is wrong about the respect part but his big issue was caught up on the word "owe" as far as respect goes.
Rory has to get out his feelings but I dont think that what happened between him and Joe that time wont heal. I think Rory's personality is what is showing but I don t think this is as big as folks are making it.
Mal has to understand that everyone...repeat everyone in that room has rent or mortgage to pay and this is their source of income.
Friendship cant mess up food.

Honestly, they need to understand that Joe is their boss and he will at times have to make decisions that are in the best interest of the business and not their friendship. That is being a boss and a great leader. He can't always have to worry about their feelings
No, but Joe admitted he was wrong for telling Mal the podcast "business" was none of his business....he said it was an angry response to Mal talking about not caring about the money and etc...
And that part about "owe" was hard to listen to. It was semantics in a way.
But especially this part......
They employ at least 8 other ppl....and they are under contract with CashApp and whatever other sponsors they have.....
The show must go on....Mal wants E, Savon, Alex...etc not to pay their mortgages/bills because 3 ppl are having issues.....the show may lose its sponsorship and get sued cuz they "need to work things out" for X many weeks.....nah B.
What Mal had to learn is that once your friendship goes into business AND now people are relying on the business to eat. The business must go on no matter what is happening as friends.
Contracts rent and your stomach dont care about friendship.
This is what I think has them messed up. Joe was on his I m Eddie Kane and the other two were like why is he speaking the silent part out loud and didn t like it.
Joe should realize that he doesn t really need to do that caise it comes off bad and its jot good for the business .......and its not necessary. Rory understood I think Mal is now understanding.

I think Rory is fragile but I don t think any of that is new to both Joe or Mal. Thats why folks saying "oh this is going to cause a rift in their friendship."
We all got friends who we know can get hemotional on some bullshit and most of the time it blows over after folks leave each other alone for a while.
Oh no doubt the whole line about "envisioning a time where you pick Rory over me" spoke volumes....

And I think Parks maintains his neutrality well. He can see both sides and tries to relay that aspect to the other parties involved well

and makes sure to keep it SEPARATE from "friendship" talk even in jokes
