I thought Joe recently said he does listen to beat packs and was considering making music. He would just go the Loyd Bank or Nip route. Direct to customer and I'm assuming no DSP.

Would he though? Even if you want to say Joe is more lyrical than Cam, Cam clearly makes better songs on average.when I say better, I'm speaking to the ability to select beats and create hooks people will respond to.
That and we aren't going to act as if Cam was trash.agree or not there was a time Cam and Dipset had a run. That's partly why people were shocked they lost the vs to thr Lox so badly.

Without a doubt, Cam makes better songs/albums than Joe.

Cam isn't trash. Why do they need to have a commercial battle for radio play, Hooks and beats isn't needed for straight up battle, shit they can rhyme over classic hip hop beats. Also remember MASE destroyed Cam when they had their beef
I didn't say anything about radio play. I said a better song. There have been plenty of diss records that have not been commercial or on radio.
They aren't battle rappers who are going to be trading with each other on the spot and being scored. Even if they rap over old beats, it's the same result to me. End of the day, being a rapper is making music. It's not just lyrics. When you hear Hit Em Up, it's the over all presentation that you remember. 2 Pacs lyrics weren't great. It's the same for Ether and Takeover. The music hypes what is being said. At least for me.
I'm not going to say a traditional battle isn't or can't be entertaining, but you know that isn't happening. Maybe you aren't saying battle rap format, but that's how I'm sort of reading it.
