Joe made a general comment about "streamers" not moving the needle, not knowing what's good/real hiphop/art.... regarding KM grammys....
Adin then mentions Joe by name and says "let's compare bank accounts,.... first to $100 mill, ....let's talk...."
Joe responds, "there's nothing that Adin Ross and I have to talk about. "
Adin: "if there's nothing for us to talk about, why bring me up?! You need to get clout off my name. You're podcast is doing that bad you gotta mention me?!"

Joe mentioned streamers as a whole, so Adin is in the right to speak for streamers especially as one of the biggest streamers. If Joe kept his comments strictly to Kai, I'd agree with Adin not getting involved.
I don't recall the exact statements, but Joe did speak on Adin regarding the 21 Savage scamming incident and cosigned the thought that it was fake. Fake or not Joe inserted himself into something that wasn't his business, Adin doing the same isn't any different and kind of justifies Adin speaking to Joe.
He hasn't done it as much since the shit with Drake, but Joe started to talk about money more and speaking down to those with less. Streamers doing the same to him is fair game.
Truth is Joe is a hater and he pulls the samething with his cohost. What makes it worse is Joe seemingly pulls this more with people he thinks he can bully or aren't connected. He was damn near quite as a mouse with the Diddy shit where most would have cosigned his antics. I get the impression Jay-Z may have severely hurt his career yet he constantly refers to himself as a Hovenger. Why keep mentioning young ass streamers and not keep the same energy with those above you.
Damn, I really hate playing Joe's advocate, but...
Joe's comment about the 21 Savage thing was a completely different conversation/ topic than the Grammys and iirc, they were at least a week apart. A streamer and artist playing click bait pranks online for views and clout is one thing. And since Adin put it out in the public space..... the public has a right to comment on it.
At the time, I'm not sure if Joe dissed Adin, maybe he did. But IF he was able to keep his comments strictly about the fake ass prank. It was fair game.
Now when it came to KM getting his Grammys Kai and Adin both had reaction vids pretty much dissing KM and the Grammys. Joe's response to that was a blanket ("to all you streamers.....yall dont know x,y, and z about the Grammys")
he didn't mention Adin's name cuz it wasn't about just him. To streamers as a whole, something to the effect of, "the Grammys don't care about your views/clicks....etc. this was real grown up music and not that trash y'all get hype over." (Basically grumpy ass old man rationale)
Adin then comes back and says Joe's name specifically....("let's compare bank accounts, first to $100 mil"...etc)
Now imo, that's some sucka shit. Cuz regardless of what's in your bank, if you cross a line and we see each other, your bank can't protect you from these hands. You already lost the debate.
Joe then talks to Adin specifically, "we have nothing to talk about," ie...I'm in my league, you're in yours. Let's keep the 2 separate. (Which if Adin is so pressed to think Joe was dropping his name for clout.....a real clout chaser would jump at having a conversation/ debate in public.....
Joe dismissed him and in return Adin comes back and again speaking directly to Joe and tries to belittle him. Alright if I'm such a failure, (just repeating what your idol said).....then why are YOU mentioning ME so much?!
This shit is stupid and Adin would love to get 5,10,15 % of Joe's audience. Not because he needs them, but it's about growth. He needs to gain followers/views/ clicks.......

It doesn't matter that it was a completely different topic. Joe gave his opinion on a situation involving Adin that had nothing to do with him. In return, Adin did the same thing except his group was attacked. If pod casters were attacked, Joe would do the same just like he does when rappers are attacked.
Speaking on comparing crimes. Joe was over the top with the whole Kai shutting down a major area rant. However, when rappers like Young Thug and others are accused of serious crimes like murder, he and his cohost usual response is we wish them well. Unless im mistaken, non of us believe Thug is innocent. We all know why he does that, but don't poke out your chest because you don't believe certain people can't or won't get you touched and be respectful when trouble may come your way.
Joe gets dismissed all the time by his rap peers as well as the industry at large and he still continues to speak on them. Drake and Logic being the best example.Adin like Joe can speak on whatever he wants especially since his group was targeted. Why is Joe even ranting about Kai's opinion to begin with? It wasn't worth speaking on and it kind of proves the point that Joe may be using their names for clicks. At best, that was for Killer Mike to speak on and he did. Based on Joe's point of view, most of us here aren't allowed to have an opinion on Hip-hop because we aren't artist or in the industry.
We don't know the situation with 21 was for clicks and I'm personally leaning toward it being real based on 21s response. Regardless, Joe put his opinion of Kai and streamers at large out to the public, so your logic would still apply to Joe.
As far as Adin wanting Joe's audience, I can't speak to that. What I know or what has been put out to the public is the deals Adin, Kai and other streamers have gotten in comparison to Joe. I'd think that speaks to their influence or ability to not only get viewers but get them to watch for hours at a time. In my opinion, Joe tried the streamering thing with Flip and so far hasn't returned to it. I could be mistaken, but I'm guessing Joe didn't see the results he wanted and likely no where near Adin or Kai's numbers. The reality is even if Joe has a larger audience he hasn't been able to monetize it like those streamers in terms of third-party investors. Joe was talking shit about advertising only to do the same gambling advertising as others. Clearly, we don't know his deal, but I'd think if it was major we would have heard about like other large podcast/streamer deals.
