OJ Mayo non defensive playing ass should've shut up. I forgot how big of a prospect he was coming out of high school though. He was one of the best in the country. Looking at his game now its hard to imagine it. Very good player but he doesn't have the qualities most dominant high school players have.
I bet if MJ came out of retirement with the new rules that cater to niggas like Lebron and Wade, he'd probably come in putting up atleast 15 a game.

Well, in all honesty...
...I think Jordan had a more pure love of winning. Jordan also wanted to be the best player, as well. However, in my opinion, I think Jordan's need to win, and his desire to be perceived as the greatest was 50/50. I think Kobe's desire to be perceived as the best vs the need to win is 70/30.
I think Kobe realized along the way that big numbers and flashy plays, w/o the wins, was meaningless. However, his first few years in the league, dude was trying to show the world how nice he was - i.e. dude was trying to pull off a nasty sequence of dribbling into acrobatic lay-ups or dunks on damn near EVERY play - to the detriment of LA. That's what infuriated Shaq. Shaq had the media on his ass saying he couldn't win, and here you have Kobe out there playing to build the world's greatest highlight reel.
A lot of people don't remember, but if you think Kobe is erratic now, you should've seen him back THEN. He's refined his erratic behavior.
I remember an 'anonymous source' saying in the book 'Mad Game' that Kobe needed to take his ass into the streets with his style of play, 'cause he ain't meant for the NBA.
Let me show you a example of something. This is from his first year:
1:43: There is never a reason to shoot a backward, clap the hand lay-up, and definitely not in traffic, but with his limited playing time, that's how he felt the need to use it. If you hear the announcer, dude said, 'One outstanding move after the another(I saw the game). Kobe was ONLY averaging 15 minutes a game that year, but I remember games in San Antonio and Boston, his rookie year, where dude would pull off such sick moves, the crowd would chant his name - IN OTHER CITIES.
Frankly, I miss that Kobe.
