yeah, to be expected. There are some plot holes, but it doesn't take away from how good the movie is (IMO). Some people may have just missed small details. But it's one of those movies that when you finish watching, you'll start to analyze every scene and then it all comes together. Those are the types of movies i appreciate. Shit that makes me think after. I saw it thursday night and i'm stilling going over it in my head

If it was a failed and abandoned government experiment where were they getting clothes and food? Was "Red" getting it for everyone? Were the tethered having sex and giving birth just like the above ground people?
I think the boy may have been switched as he was panicking so much when stuck in the closet and it took him back to being underground. But I didn't understand the point of him wearing a mask.

Ok. I can believe this. But, there are a lot of questions about it. How does the double get to the top to make the change? How was the double able to speak? There is no evidence that suggest Jason had any type of treatment or went thru a period where he didn't talk. Jason is the way he is because he is mixed with tether and regular. But hey, I wouldn't totally dismiss this theory. That's the great thing about the movie.

Nah, i can't see it happening based off that explanation. If that's the case, the tethered got out a year before, so why didn't anything happen? How did he get out? The vid is saying that during the fire, the double dragged Jason back down below and took his place. There is absolutely no evidence of this and it sounds like just a theory. i don't think he was swapped at all. I think he just acts weird because he has both genes.
Lol. His sister had both genes too.
Personally the reason I think he is a double is he was too calm with what he saw at the beach which was clearly something horrible

Low and Lu are tethered so they both had a degree of compassion for both sets of children. Lup let the girl run away and let the boys play.
They didn't just come in and slaughter like the other clones.

I think he was swapped before. Remeber he found the magic trick that was left the last time they were there, but he couldn't remeber how to do it. That would also explain his weird usage of "kiss my anus" because, if it was a short period of time, he would still be trying to grasp the concept of speaking phrases. Also why would the clone be obsessed with matches and fire, they wouldn't know about it.
The clone does everything the original does. It's not about what they know. They are like shadows.
