some great races yesterday in the men's and women. past time shacarri stop getting attention. as usual she flames out someway. people trying to show her some love, wanna know what happened and she lashing out instead of trying to get to what the problem is/was. too many great athletes putting in the work and staying positive .win or defeat

I'm not sound with giving any average to advanced info on track & field but what I could say is that she is surrounded by yes ppl. No one or very little ppl is telling her to "STFU, lose w/ pride & genuinely congratulate those who have won". She seemingly has a voice which is cool and all but her personality DOES NOT fit the sport, her opponents, media when in defeat. Her narcissistic responses to any challenging questions she's asked is the cause of her crumbling sponsors being taken away. I'd just wish someone she loves dearly would hit her w/ some real "tough love" shit.

And Nike hand those contracts out to track athletes like water. Cheap promo for them and don't have to pay much compared to other athletes. Those contracts are laced with lucrative incentives though. Which I doubt she met hardly any of them. Basically getting the bare minimum. I'm sure Nike was ready to roll out the red carpet last year. Probably had a nice ad campaign ready for her had she not got disqualified. They threw her bone with the Nike/Beat commercial and haven't seen shit since.

keep in mind that the economy for this sport is very small as not only is it a niche sport but its not "premium niche" like Golf, Tennis, Boxing where the economics of those sports allow for there to be around 200 Golfers, 100 Tennis players and 100 boxers to earn at least 7 figures a yr. Sydney is 1 of maybe a handful of current athletes in the sport making 7 figures a yr and most likely the only American now with Allyson Felix near retirement. Shacarri could easily be in the 7 figures if she been hitting some of these incentives but she clearly hasn't. Basically right now the only 7 figure earners in the sport are Sydney, De Grasse, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, Jacobs. Maybe Mutaz Barshim if you count all the side money and perks he's getting from the wealthy Qataris for what he's done representing them.
