I'm over all the "we are human" talk that keeps coming from this current generation of athletes. Seem to me it comes mostly from the females. The shit don't even be that bad. Not sure if it's the 24/7 news and social media, but you never heard this much complaining back in the day. Too much back and forth with media and fans. Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka reduced their workload after making similar statements. Kobe was being tried for rape and was being killed by the media/fans. And still managed to go out and perform at high level. As petty as KDurant can be on social media during the season. Dude never lets it affect his game. Everyone not built for the spotlight.
I think Abby Steiner is being unfairly hit with the, "she is only getting the money cause she is white" bullshit.

some of the races r the same day n like a couple hrs apart so some of the women might b gassed n cant compete ...

Always seize your opportunities. One of the problems I had with Smokey. People kept saying she young and can bounce back. A year later and she still missed qualifying for the world event. Opportunities you have today in your youth are not guaranteed to be there tomorrow. You only afforded whats in front of you at that moment. Too many young and hungry cubs coming up to assume you'll always be "that girl".

I agree it's not a right of anyone other than the parties involved. But you know how these things go with high profile athletes. They usually get leaked one way or another. It's no secret how much many athletes/entertainers are getting paid now.
I watch and follow a lot of sports and most of the more lucrative ones all generally publicly disclose a lot of the financial terms, its usually only the less lucrative sports like T&F where the contracts are much more secretive which tends to hurt the athletes themselves with negotiations
