I'm looking forward to her no longer being the main topic of conversation. We have multiple track athletes that are far more accomplished and IMO a better example for our daughters. Richardson is a clown. She looks ridiculous, talks ridiculous, posts ridiculous, and doesn't even have the results to overlook it all. There are far more deserving track athletes that are more deserving of our support and attention.

Those track athletes are boring and don't bring interest to the sport. If you made a thread with their name on it nobody would care. Lyles won today and BGOL largely doesn't care. Not everybody has it, and that's ok.

Imagine beating Sha'Carri and nobody knows your name without Google. She still got ads running and folks acknowledging her first. Even in her post run interview they asked her about Sha'Carri. It's gotta be humbling to know no matter what you do she's gonna be more famous and richer than you.
She is a star because of the camera time and coverage she gets. That and her ridiculous look. If Knighton or Mu got the same camera time, they would be "stars" too. I dislike the CAC media appointing this NeNe in cleats as a star for us.

She didn't have a bad start at all but it became obvious very quickly that she wasn't ready for this level of competition yet. By the 20-30 meter mark, everyone was starting to pull away from her. Probably didn't help that she was positioned right between SAFP & ETH so seeing them pull away like that might've broken her enough to somewhat give up in this race. The physical attributes are there but the mental is more important in track. Time will tell how she rebounds from this.
