I added my involvement and understanding of election laws by mentioning my personal experience. One of us is NOT reading well. You go absentee ballot or re-register IF the election board in your state has not sent you a card stating that you are indeed registered to vote. Data purge means nothing to a voter who wants to vote. Absentee works because your vote will be manually counted before official results are declared even if not counted on the day of election. YOU READ!!
1. Go to the polling station and ask to vote for the record and that it should be treated as an absentee ballot on election day.
2. Go to a DMV to register if unsure. I see folks walking up and down the street and claiming turf in the hood but can't go register at a DMV?
3. If you believe you are one of a million Williams or Smiths or Johnsons, go to the DMV if you do not have a confirmation of your eligibility to vote at least 3 months before an election. Data purge does not mean you can'T RE- register to clear the air.
THIS IS YOUR COUNTRY, NOT MINE. CLAIM IT.
First off, if you live in a state that does not allow same day registration (another Republican tactic) you absolutely cannot register to vote on election day.
So if Republicans purge you off the rolls after the deadline to register in your state, you are fucked. You can get the card saying you are registered to vote, only to be purged afterward. Republicans wait until after the deadline to register has passed before disenfranchising you.
So you tell me, if the deadline to register in my state has passed and THEN I get declared ineligible to vote, how do I get to vote in that election... I’ll wait.
But, here is the point you keep ducking.
How about vote out Republican trying to take your vote away. Problem solved.
You keep putting the responsibility on the victims of Republican voter supression instead of acknowleding that Republicans should stop trying to keep people that look like you (allegedly) from voting.
Tell me again how supporting people trying to keep black people from voting is in the best interests of black people.
