So it isn't a clear cut answer. It really depends. A lot is depending on media and peripheral influence
In short, no one's career is generally going down the toilet because they lost a rap beef. But there are a couple of instances where it got worse for the artist.
You have to look at the point in which 50 attacked. Ja Rule went pop at that point basically. Rule was doing tracks for the ladies. 50 eventually did the same, but at that moment in time, 50 caught Rule with his pants down(no diddy lol). The timing was perfect.
50 didn’t just throw jabs. His first hit was so successful that it was a haymaker out the gate. The beat, the rhyme scheme and everything was perfect. Wanksta did Ja Rule in in one go. Lmao! Rule tried to get back into gangsta mode but by that point is too late.
