I am a J Cole fan, but, IMO, he don't have the catalog to pull off those Jay lines or talk about classics. To get that off he has to act like Overly Dedicated and Section 80 doesn't exist.
I would say Forrest Hill Dr is classic, but some may argue otherwise. His other albums are just ok, or maybe even meh in some cases. His best work is on other people songs. Even what he put out today, I only passively listened while working so far, but first impression is it's mostly just ok. With the way he hyping The Falloff, if it ends up being just another J Cole album, as talented as he is, he probably need to leave the goat talk alone.
I expect some bars coming his way about how he can't make his own shit hot

He throwing gut punches in this song, dedicating a whole 3+ minutes to Kendrick after being grazed (at best) by Kendrick as he clearly took aim at Aubrey. To me, there's nothing "warning shot" about this...

Cole emptied a clip and the majority is still looking at it as a victory from the Compton native... it can only go downhill from here with the attacks and what more he can possibly say.
