Niggas be having Drake fucked up and that shit is funny as hell to me. MFs forget that Drake will wait until you least expect it and drop a whole song about fucking your bitch, and the shit will have a viral dance to it and that shit will be the hottest club song all summer long. That's some of the coldest shit we've ever seen in hiphop but cats like to play him out like he didn't actually do that shit. MFs be having selective memories.:dunno:

Anyone who thinks Drake can't go full Oppenheimer is delusional.

The anticipation and pressure and criticism you seeing is specifically because real heads know what 6 god can do.

The question right now is WILL HE AND WHEN?

Why he ain’t do this shit to Pusha? Or Common?

Why didn't he do this to 2 irrelevant ass rappers who ain't had hit records in 20 years? Really? :hmm:

And Pusha arguably "won" the battle. And that shit didn't move the needle for Pusha not one fucking inch. :dunno:

Not for you.

Pusha was at Paris fashion week, getting sent clothes by designers other than Pharrell..... and who knows what moves he was making behind the scenes.....

Listening to Push lately his passion isn't solely rap anymore..... like a lot of rappers that have fame for a while he doesn't need (and maybe want to, to some degree) sell large units of records..... this is fun and sport, but his business and main source of income is somewhere else

I'm guessing, "Crooked Smile" off of Born Sinner and maybe the Miguel song "All I want is You," are probably the best "performing" songs he's been on

I just question when someone says "Hits" because.

But the songs you mentioned are popular.

Not to mention Push has released a few critically acclaimed albums in the past couple of years and his last one was nominated for a Grammy.

Damn forgot some of those were his records....

And KOD/ATM were both used in NBA/ brand marketing so those were big for him.....

Damn...... props for the link drop

Don’t agree with this take.

Drake stated from the jump that he wanted to have respect from his hiphop peers.

Whatever you think about Common and Push because they don’t have “hit records”, they are respected MC’s.

That Verse of Stay Schemin caught people off guard cause Drake never dissed anyone prior.

And the Duppy Freestyle was a legit diss record, but Pusha was just more ruthless with his response.

Pusha won that battle, but it’s argued because J. Prince stepped in.

What's J Cole's "Hit" record?

Just curious.
The fact that you have to ask this question tells me everything I need to know. You aren't prepared to have this conversation, even though it's clear you think you are. Why do you think no one questions whether he's in the "big 3"? Be serious, dude. If you don't know nothing about him, say that.

Since when does having the respect of your peers mean taking on anyone who has something to say about you? That dude would be stay in constant beefs with multitudes of rappers who are trying to make a name for themselves or use him for attention. You can't blame a dude for being wise about what he wants to/should address. This goes for any popular rapper, not just Drake.

This is Pusha's recent "Hit".

There's no conversation to have, I asked you what were Cole's "Hits".

According to Billboard, his hits based on sales and streams is below.

And you questioned why Drake didn't respond to two legendary and very respected MC's.

You're not ready or actually understand the conversation because he did respond to Common and Push.

Next time just answer the question instead of grandstanding and posturing. Just say his hits so I could say "Damn man you're right".

Bro...just stop. Nobody is making time for Common. And I'm a Common fan. You may want to see him battle that guy but he doesn't have to and nobody cares if he does or not. The "diet coke" joint was cool...I dug it. And again, it shows that Drake and Push are operating on 2 completely different levels. That song got some decent attention. Didn't affect radio. And insiders have questioned whether the views are slightly inflated considering the numbers vary for the song on different platforms. .but that's neither here nor there. Also I never said he didn't respond to either. It was asked why he didn't treat Common or Push in the same manner that he treated Kanye. And every situation is different. I could care less how he responds to any rapper. But some shit is just common sense. My point was that Drake haters ignore the soul destroying way he handled Kanye. He fucked that dude up mentally with one song. So if the question is "why didnt Drake take that approach with Common or Pusha"? My response would be "Well are they worth going that extra mile for"? I think that answer is NOPE.

If he didn’t do it to Pusha he never will. Pusha made him become a better father….

^^^^

I feel like it took all this for folk to really appreciate that Pusha diss properly. It felt like before this is got kinda pushed aside or minimalized.

Remember not long ago Jim Jones claimed Pusha was over rated and thought Push was scared because he essentially ignored his attempt to bait him.

Push clearly won that battle. Nothing is changing that. The thing is though...this only matters to certain pockets of hiphop heads. The majority of the audience at large couldn't care less, especially seeing how Drake popularity never even took a dip. So while certain heads think Drake took this huge L, most music fans could care less. So how big is that L, really? :dunno:

This is a great point...

Drake has used the J Prince excuse A LOT. Especially with Kanye and Push and I feel like I'm missing someone

I know Serena was was upset about the Common diss. But Common diss was just so complete and professional.

Aubrey lately been dissing women. Dont like that. He tried to diss Serena's husband which was very very sucker-ish. I don't like him dissing Rihanna. And Megan too. And before that Kobe had to check him about dissing his wife.

You are 100% right there.

But the thing is Drake in his heart and soul? Wants THAT real hip hop head respect. The money power women success awards being am international icon should be way more than enough.

But the respect of your peers and idols is different.

There are gods of rap who never had a popular hit record on billboard per se..

But got street Classics that will live forever and solidified their name.
