I agree. Kendrick has been one of my favorite artist since he came out but I don't know about this. When I first heard about it I was confused about it. I hope it works out but this could backfire and erase all of the good he has done if it comes off as some coonery type shit.

A black man, working as a SLAVE REENACTOR...This ALONE is problematic unless that shyt is a art (movie, theater or music) and you're getting paid as much or more than the director. We shouldn't be "working" as slaves. But comes to find out that his white girlfriend's family used to own his family. This sounds like a shytty episode of Seinfeld! What, hilarity ensues when the white girlfriends father makes the black boyfriend sleep in a separate house that doesn't have all the amenities that their house has? I try to give comedy a wide berth to be comedic, but on paper this just doesn't sound enjoyable. Matt and Trey are funny, but in order to get something like this to be funny and not some feel good comedy for white people is a Herculean task. It's comedies like this that come at the expense of black people to help white people feel some kind of way about shyt that goes on in this world.

I’m not acting like kdot was being talked about like Drake. But the man has the highest grossing single rap tour ever!!!! The only other tour that’s higher is Drake and 21 which they are together! Kendrick's interest in this board before the beef, one thread did do good numbers though.
To my knowledge the highest grossing rap tour ever is Drake's tour when he brought out special guests. So I guess it was Drake "And Friends", but that's not important.
