I'm not going to bother quoting, but the responses in here...wow...some of you dudes been hating females ever since you were pulled out of one
I am very disturbed by this story as this is the 2nd time that his mother has gone public with this story! This is very personal for me as I met this lady many years ago as well as her son who went by Larry at the time. His mom and my mom were close college mates. I don t pretend to know what the whole story is here but only hope that this is settled soon between family! No matter what I feel bad that she s in this situation!
As for my first stepmom (RIP) and my mother in law, I have your mindset. I'd cut my arm off for those women!!! They are/were fucking SAINTS!!! As for my biological, not so much.
Thats understandable. I was basing my points on what she said about supporting him. If thats not true, then it changes the equation. But if she was there and supported him....there's no excuse.
She's not a good person. I'm not the only offspring that feels that way.
Family is the first people who will fuck you over if you aren't careful. Who knows how many times he bailed her out. There's always a time when that train ends.

Parents, be careful about burning the bridges with your kids. You might need their asses one day. My mom and dad have two other kids they'd better call on if they need help or are in dire straights. I'm healed as I can be, but they are on their own. That's all. I don't wish they die a horrible death or no shit like that, but they will get what they get when it comes, but it won't be from me. I have all I have, and I will have in the future in spite of those two, not because of. My ex told my mother about the divorce plan a month and a half before my ex told me and my mother didn't say a fucking word, "I didn't want to break her confidence" - you are MY mother, not hers.
Man, there are so many more things I can't even speak on right now, but she will never live in my house. I am not saying I'd cut her out if I won the lottery or something (I'd give her an allowance, but she'll still have to work if she wants more than that)

I feel you. But... It's kinda a rock and a hard place. Especially if she got a gambling problem. I have family with a gambling problem and it's as bad as dealing with a drug addict you just go broke quicker.
I agree moms should always be taken care of no matter what, but if she's got a determental habit she needs to be kept on a short leash in that regard. I had a aunt and a grand parent that was addicted to gambling. Granddad would blow his money playing bingo and lotto then want his kids to pick up his expenses. So my uncle ended up moving him in and craring for him and gave him an allowance.

It is something strange about this. No lady will go to any media saying things she said. This probably caught him by surprise. And now he got a big mess to straighten out and find what brought all this about. And was he really absent for a year and all this swooped up with out him knowing about it? You say that cause you mom is probably decent and wouldn't gamble or give away all the money you give her. If you don't cut off people like that you won't be rich for long. Fuck this line of thinking. If you value being rich over your family...you deserve a daughter that does porn and a mother that calls you out in the media. Not saying that's his story....just saying there's numerous ways to support her without feeding any kind of habit. And for all I know maybe he does. What I do know is a mother that supported you and raised you should never be worried about her rent of all things when you major in Hollywood.

My mother is thee best at trying to guilt trip her kids. The woman kicked me out the house after me and her then boyfriend got into an argument and he did a "it's either me or him" type joint. I slept on couches at various friends places for two years, still going to school and having to get a part time job to help support myself...I was in high school, fam. Managed to get scholarships lined up toward the end and worked my ass off through college without a single peep from her. Started working in insurance as an underwriter after graduating, making fairly good money.. Somehow her ass pops up trying to Bogart right back into my life after almost eight years of nothing. Talking about I gave you life, this and that.. Saying I should look out after my parents as the Bible says. Kick rocks. Woman didn't even acknowledge the bullshit of choosing a nigga over your own damn blood.

These are the same parents the would bankrupt their kids and won't feel bad about it...How many times have we seen professional athletes taking care of their family and a few years later they're broke,because they felt obligated too..

Some mothers actually loved their kids, and some women just gave birth. There is a difference. Funny, in this world it is understandable and often doesn't have to be explained why a person has no relationship with their fathers, but there is nothing a mother could do that would put her in the same category.
I look a lot like my father unfortunately - and she hated me for that. She used to smack me in the face as a child (My father abused her) enough so I grew tired of it and started fighting her back.

Exactly. My mother has two other kids. Whatever she needs she better get from them. You get what you put in, and your relation to me guarantees you nothing. You get what I feel like giving you and her crocodile tears have absolutely no effect on me. She didn't call me on my birthday and claimed that there was a mix up in her phone. I CALL people I'm close with on their birthday - I don't send a fucking text unless we just okay.

I didn't just pull that number out of my imagination.
Fish made $350,000 per episode of CSI. He made more than 30 episodes of that show, he's made more than $19,000,000 ($19 Million) on the Matrix movie series. There are a myriad of revenue streams flowing into Fish's pockets. If this story is true he should be ashamed. His 81 year old mother should not be paying rent or worrying about food, housing, utilities, clothing, medical care, etc. Laurence has been $$$$$$$$$$$ ' 'balling' for over a decade. A few federal-reserve-notes for his mother is pocket change.
