Leti is damn sure NOT a damsel in distress! She hauled ass out of that diner and jumped behind the wheel like it was second nature! I fell out when Uncle George kept calling her "girl" and she finally snaps and goes "my name ain't girl, it's Leti Fucking Lewis!!!"

And when Tic tried to go back for George, she was like "man, get yo ass in this house, we'll worry about him later".

Excellent analysis. Each and every one of these shows addressed racism in some way that you probably wouldn't have seen just 2-3 years ago. Also, remember how Project Power did NOT make Joseph Gordon Levitt the white savior, as well as mentioning Henrietta Lacks and what was stolen from her.
The tension in this episode was thick. You honestly did not know whether or not something was going to go seriously sideways for Tic, Leti, and George. I could feel rage bubbling inside me every time one of those racist CAC's did something dirty.
They had us fooled. Had us thinking everything was all well and good while they were up there singing, but then the truth came out. Big sis was not about the bullshit either.
I think this something we really need to address...

it ALL told a story.
With the way things are in America right now, I think a lot of us were watching these scenes and thinking that some shit like this happening in 2020 is not far fetched at all.
With good movies and good TV shows, I play dumb. I don't want to see ahead of what the story has already told me, I want to be surprised.
Now, a bad movie or a bad TV show oh, I'll pick that shit apart like the game Operation, but the good shit like this, Watchmen and others, I just let it come to me as it comes so I can be surprised if that makes any sense.
Awesome, best series opener in 2020. I'm hooked, I wish they would drop the whole season like Netflix does.
