I'm not going to knock his idea on how to deal with this issue. It's something & far more than what congress is doing now. Which is nothing. They're on vacation.

But I will criticize his illogical math. Why would it take 500 years to remove all guns from the US? When has any society operated that way in history. 1 minute per 1 gun per 1 person. Is that how we do anything? So while I'm doing something, no one else in the entire country is allowed to do that same thing until I'm finished?

How about putting a ticking clock on turning in your firearms. 1 year, 5 years, 20 years. And whatever the deadline is make the consequences severe for failing to comply. I.E. if you are caught with a banned weapon you do 1 year in prison & pay a hefty fine. Seems quicker than 500 years. What's up with the stupid math lately. Stay in school kids. But also practice your active shooter drills.

As the hours and days go by more and more UC Texas law enforcement state and local drop the ball big time. And what made this situation worse for TX law enforcement, they lied to cover up their non-action with this extremely tragic event.

Many god fearing Americans are backwards and extremists in thought as you’ve learned in your exchanges here. It’s hyper polarization without logical thought that leaves people in a manic state and unable to think with reason and build to anything.

Unfortunately to many, if the answer or solution doesn’t come in 30 seconds, it’s pointless, doesn’t work and isn’t worth pursuing. It’s easier to play cynic.

Yeah but plenty of Black JD Hoggs out here as well.

"I'm the law round here" type cats.

Main ones riding around harassing men and sexually harassing women.

For the this country love their guns & will never give them up kats. @code_pirahna @cli-terminator

I'd like to hear what the solution is to this problem. How should the country proceed?

Or is the solution to do what we've always done? Which is nothing. Here's an idea & it's actually going to sound crazy. How about we do...something. Radical I know. But something might actually change things for the better. Burying your heads in the sand talking about things will never change, is a shitty attitude to have. Suppose that was always the prevailing thoughts. How would things look for you today?

Whether it's banning all guns for non-military (my solution) or stricter gun laws to make things either incredibly expensive &/or extremely difficult to purchase a gun going forward. A solution has to exist. I'm curious how you think this problem should be solved. I know giving up your gun range (sorry "home protector") AR15 isn't an option. So what is? Mental health route? If that's the angle how do you diagnose who is or isn't fit to own a gun?

None America is gonna blame social media and me tal illness first. They'll do studies on low marriage rates and so forth before they disarm themselves. Never gonna happen
This fits into what they want though which is happy poor people with families so this debate just opens up the door for this Convo.

Wonder if those survivors have spoken out about this...
If I were them, I wouldn't. What's left to say that hasn't been said?

The kids have literally begged the adults to stop people from killing them, and the adults keep sitting on their hands.

No amount of death will force action here. Unless kids suddenly start to equal money lost, Congress won't do a damn thing.

Those in congress probably can't wait till something else comes along and trumps this as a news cycle. After every knee jerk reaction in this country (especially mass shooting) that usually leads no where, we forget and move on. It's very sad but these kids will be forgotten soon. Those in the NRA's pocket are counting on that...those not in NRA's pocket don't have enough firepower to do anything about it.
