Remember these motherfuckers had no problem passing laws to "secure the elections," which usually meant making it harder to vote in Black/Democratic areas, but can't seem to do anything about gun violence and mass shootings.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I feel the laws implemented so far will restrict voter turnout on the democratic side. Not to mention many democrats are unhappy with the state of the country. Maybe they didn't get something they felt they should have. Student loan relief, reparations, price of gas too high...etc. I feel many people who showed up in 2020 are going to sit this one out. I hope I'm wrong.
This is beyond stupid. A vet can't cover every doorway, every hallway and every corner. On top of that how do we know that vet isn't a pedo? *Remember, Republicans think everyone including the teachers are "grooming" kids and pedos.
What if the vet is crazy? Decides, he'll shoot up the school because he has PTSD?
The real answer, is that we need to cut easy access to guns and outright ban certain types of guns but the NRA won't have it. Because they think one ban on a gun is the step towards banning all guns.
All because they fear black people. Crazy how us just existing is the reason they don't mind death daily.

This country will never have a serious discussion about that though. Point the finger at everything but restricting some people's access to semi-automatic weaponry.
Curious what the next answer will be. Or are we going to bring more prayer in schools. I know throughout world history that no religious person has ever committed a crime or acted with self-interest. Only those heathen atheists have ever done such heinous acts.

Looking into this further the whole situation was weird. I thought the guy may have turned over in a boat. It turns out he jumped in the water to escape police.
That's not smart if you can't swim. That doesn't excuse the inaction by police though.
Because the GOP politicians are the ones getting money from the NRA, not their average supporters.
Some folks are confused about the machinations of politics.
Its not that they spend so much more than other industry lobby groups. Its how they concentrate it on controlling a small powerful coalition of politically safe GOP lawmakers.
