Toney: I'll be champion again

When James “Lights Out” Toney and Hasim “The Rock” Rahman fought in 2006, the circumstances were much different. Rahman was the WBC titleholder, while Toney was viewed as a legit heavyweight contender, maybe the best heavyweight in the world. Although the fight ended in a majority draw, many felt that Toney did enough to merit the victory. Since that meeting, however, both fighters have been on a downslide. Toney has won just once in three fights, and that victory has been marred due to a positive steroid test. Rahman was knocked out in his next fight by Oleg Maskaev, and even though he’s won four straight, they’ve come against nondescript opposition. Tonight at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California and broadcast as part of Fox Sports Net’s “Best Damn Fight Night Period,” Toney (70-6-3, 43 KO’s) and Rahman (45-6-2, 36 KO’s) will meet in a fight appropriately titled “Last Chance” for the NABO heavyweight title.

Calzaghe still WBO champ

The WBO has announced that the bout between #1 rated Karoly Balzsay (19-0, 14 KOs) and #2 Jean Pascal (21-0, 14 KOs) will be for the interim super middleweight title, not the full championship. Yesterday, a July 22 purse bid was announced for the vacant super middleweight crown, but that has been amended and Joe Calzaghe will remain as WBO super middleweight champion.

Calzaghe plans return to 168

WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe has stated that his September 20 light heavyweight bout against Roy Jones Jr. will not be his last and that he plans to return to the super middleweight division following that fight. In a fax sent to WBO President Paco Valcarcel on British Boxing Board of Control letterhead dated July 16, 2008, and signed by Joe, the longtime 168lb champion wrote:

Dear Paco,

Further to our phone conversation of today's date I wish to remain as the WBO's Super Middleweight Champion. Following my proposed contest against Roy Jones Jnr. it is my intention to defend the WBO Super Middleweight Championship. I am proud to be a WBO Champion and thank you, as always, for the opportunities given to me in the past.

Kind regards,
JOE CALZAGHE CBE

Sulaiman on Soto-Lorenzo, Chavez Jr.-Vanda, More

Following the decision of the WBC's Board of Governors, ruling that Humberto Soto vs. Francisco Lorenzo was a no-contest and ordered a rematch, it’s President has declared that in his own personal opinion, the original disqualification decision by referee Joe Cortez, was the greatest injustice he’s ever witnessed in all of his 57-years as a boxing commissioner.

Commenting about how the overall vote went Don Jose explained: “I would prefer to say the majority was in favor of a no contest, because most thought that boxing instead of controversy needs some peace and unity.”

The WBC is giving Manny Pacquiao until July 28th to decide if he wants to retain his lightweight or his super featherweight belt. Don Jose says he thinks Manny will stay at lightweight, as he experienced some problems in making the super featherweight limit, and he proved himself very strong and fast in the next division up.

He also commented that Lorenzo might have doubts about fighting Soto once again.

Concerning Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s wobbly last several rounds against Matt Vanda in the blistering heat of Hermosillo, Sonora, Don Jose confirmed that the WBC is going to order thorough medical tests: “Because let’s remember he’s number five in the super welterweight division, and we want our fighters to be in the best of health.”

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr is reported to have said his son had a fever, after the weigh-in. Don Jose responded: “I believe that they should think more about themselves than about complying with the fight. If you are sick, have fever and vomiting how can you fight, regardless of what happens? That’s a great mistake that Julio Cesar Chavez (Sr) used to do.”

Don Jose said he’s furious with the small minority in the crowd who threw things into the ring after the fight stressing: “I’m very embarrassed, and very angry. There must be much more security. They should not allow things which happened that night to happen again like selling glasses. That should be totally prohibited.”

Don Jose also criticized the judge who gave Julio Jr. a totally lopsided decision and the one who gave Matt Vanda the nod. He said: “Those two judges should not be allowed to be appointed as ring officials in any boxing match, ever again.”

Chavez Jr. Ready For Sergio Mora, No Retirement Plans

Undefeated junior middleweight prospect Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. spoke out for the first time since last Saturday's lackluster split-decision win over Matt Vanda in the main event of a Top Rank pay-per-view from Mexico. Chavez's hometown crowd turned on him after the fight as they booed the young fighter for his performance and some even pelted the ring with bottles and other objects. Even Julio Sr., the legendary father, was unable to calm the crowd down. Many were upset over the scorecard of one judge who gave Chavez every single round in the fight.

Chavez Jr. was upset with his performance, but claimed to have been very ill during the week of the Vanda fight. Against better judgement, he refused to postpone the encounter. José Luis Camarillo of ESTO said that Chavez Jr's voice was almost unrecognizable when they spoke during the interview. Chavez Jr. thinks he fell ill due to sleeping all night with air conditioner running on high.

"Every day I slept with the air, and nothing happened. The day of the weigh-in, in the morning I woke up with a stuffy nose, with my throat inflamed and a fever. The doctor told me 'you have a high temparture.' I told him to give me something because there was no way that I was going to postpone the fight," Chavez Jr. said. "I put in a lot of time in camp and trained for over a month and a half and had no problems with weight. The doctor gave me some medicine, some tablets for the fever and gave me an injection."

"Early on I felt well against Vanda, but in the fifth or sixth-round I began to sweat too much and it drained all of the energy in me. By the seventh, I fought on pure instinct. I've tired in other fights, but this was beyond exhaustion. I felt like a dead person. When the fight was over I was carried in a small truck to the hospital. I arrived to the hospital vomiting. When the Vanda fight was over I was delirious and therefore my team carried me straight to the hospital.

Chavez Jr. says that any talk of retirement was just emotions running high after the Vanda fight,

"That was just the emotions of the moment, the truth is I was very disappointed and angry. I believe some of the fans were unfair. What can they complain about? They can't say he beat me. Yes I fought bad in the last two-rounds, but I fought on pure instinct and there was action and it was a good fight. I think I put in a super-human effort because from the seventh-round until the end, I felt like a dead man," Chavez Jr. said.

Chavez Jr. says that he will take at least two months off, or more, to rest and get himself together. Prior to the Vanda battle, there had been some talk of matching Chavez Jr. against WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora in the near future (provided Mora beats Vernon Forrest in their fall rematch). He is ready to fight Mora if that's the direction his co-promoter Fernando Beltran will take him.

"I want to rest for about two months, but at the same time I want to maintain my trianing and taking care of my weight. And then do a fight with a real good opponent. I hope that Fernando Beltran gives me a harder fight (than Vanda). I don't know if he wants me to fight Sergio Mora for the title, but I am ready if that's going to be the next fight.," Chavez Jr. said.

Dmitriy Salita vs. Willie Limond To Land on Calzaghe-Jones

Sources close to the situation have informed BoxingScene.com that unbeaten junior welterweight prospect Dmitriy Salita (28-0, 16KOs) will face tough Willie Limond (29-2, 8KOs) on the undercard of Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones Jr., live on HBO pay-per-view from New York's Madison Square Garden.

Limond fights at lightweight and is best known for July's eight-round war with Amir Khna. During the bout, Limond dropped Khan hard and had him in all sorts of trouble, but was unable to finish him off. Khan recovered and later stopped Limond.

A source told BoxingScene that Salita wants to break away from the image of being a New York club fighter, and wants to show his true potential against the best fighters from across the globe.

Salita recently signed a three-fight deal with Jones' promotional company, Square Ring. Another fight on the undercard will see former champion Julio Diaz (35-4, 26KOs) face Ray "Emperor" Narh (22-1, 19KOs).

Cotto vs. Margarito Tickets Not as Hot as Vegas Temps

An inside source at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas confirmed today what many within the industry quietly suspected - the tickets for the Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito welterweight title fight on July 26th are somewhat cooler than the summer temps on the Strip.

The mercury today on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard South and East Tropicana Avenue where the MGM Grand is located, rose to a sizzling 104 degrees, but ticket sales for the big fight have been lukewarm.

Rooms at the MGM Grand are sold out for the weekend of the fight but tickets for "The Battle" are still available.

"It's like this," said the source. "This is our off-season here in Vegas, and to be honest with you, a lot of people avoid Las Vegas in the summertime because of the heat. If you're not used to it, the sun can really do a number on you. Besides that, with the economy the way it is, this place is a ghost town."

Tickets for the fight are priced in five denominations - $700, $500, $300, $200 and $100 for an average ticket price of $360.

Cotto vs. Margarito is a match-up of epic proportions that has left hardcore fans salivating, but the fight hasn't really caught on with the casual boxing observer or the mainstream sports fan.

As of Tuesday afternoon, tickets were still available for $700 ringside seats as well as the $300 and $200 chairs. Only the $500 and $100 tickets were sold out.

"Another thing that people have said about this one is that Cotto is not a known attraction here," said the source. "He's an East coast guy who hasn't fought out here since 2004. Margarito has fought here but he doesn't have a big following. Maybe some of his fans will come over from L.A., but I would've thought they would have bought their tickets by now if they planned on showing up."

"With the fight only 11 days away it's tough to say what the exact numbers will be, but when a fight is a hot ticket in Vegas it's usually hot from the get-go and with it only being a week-and-a-half away I can't see any way that's it a sell-out," he said. "We could end up papering the place on fight night."

The undefeated Cotto, 32-0 (26)KO's is the odds on favorite to retain his WBA welterweight title on the 26th, and as of Tuesday afternoon the MGM Sportsbook had him listed as a -270 favorite to turn back the challenge of Margarito, 36-5 (26)KO's, 1NC who was a +220 underdog.

Juan Manuel Lopez Looks For a September Return

WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (22-0, 20KOs) is going to make a September return. According to El Nuevo Dia, Top Rank is currently in talks with HBO for the date of September 27, which is already set aside for the return of Kelly Pavlik. Lopez co-headlined with Pavlik on HBO's June 7 telecast from Atlantic City. That night Lopez demolished Daniel Ponce De Leon in one-round to capture the title.

Ivan Rivera, president of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, who co-promote Lopez, says the champion is still on schedule to fight two more times in 2008 and then making his mandatory defense in March 2009. If the September fight goes as planned, he would return for a second defense in December.

"We had wanted the defense to take place in Puerto Rico, but if there is an opportunity to fight outside of the country on HBO, we prefer to do that fight", said Rivera. "The idea is to have Juanma fight two more this year. Top Rank is focused right now in the fight with Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. Once that fight is done, they will tell us what they have for us. The opponenst will be determined based on the locations of fights and the dates."

Luis Yanez Rejoins The US Olympic Boxing Team

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – USA Boxing and light flyweight Luis Yanez (Duncanville, Texas) have reached a settlement allowing Yanez to return to the United States Olympic Boxing Team. The agreement was reached following a unanimous decision by USA Boxing’s Judicial Committee to uphold his dismissal from the United States Olympic Team.

“I want to thank USA Boxing for its understanding and sense of forgiveness. I sincerely apologize to Head Coach Campbell, to my teammates, and to USA Boxing for not only breaking the rules of the Athlete Code of Conduct, but also for my lack of candor regarding the circumstances of my absence from the Resident Program,” Yanez stated. “Coach Campbell and USA Boxing gave me every opportunity to return to the Program so that I could compete in Beijing, and I was irresponsible in ignoring their flexibility, and not forthcoming with them throughout my absence.”

In return for his reinstatement to the Olympic Team, Yanez has agreed to a financial penalty for his absence, sports counseling sessions with United States Olympic Committee sports psychologists and a public apology for his actions with the coaching staff, and his teammates. In addition, he will apologize in person to his teammates upon his return to the Olympic Training Center and has agreed to make no further public remarks regarding the case so that he can focus fully on the upcoming Olympic Games.

“Luis is a young man who has recognized and admitted poor judgment about his actions over the past month, and has apologized to his teammates and coaches,” commented USA Boxing CEO, Jim Millman. “This agreement will let him return in-time to participate in the final Team camp in Colorado Springs, and in the pre-Olympic Training sessions in Beijing. We’re pleased that Luis will have a chance to pursue his Olympic dreams in Beijing.”

“We are pleased this situation has been resolved to the satisfaction of all involved without requiring further arbitration,” United States Olympic Committee Director of Sports Partnerships Jay Warwick said.

Yanez will return to the Olympic Training Center on Wednesday to resume training with his Olympic teammates before departing for Team Processing in San Jose on Monday, July 21. The 9 man United States Olympic Boxing Team is currently finishing its Colorado Springs training camp and will travel from San Francisco to Beijing on July 22. They will finish their Olympic preparations with a two-week training camp at Beijing Normal University before opening competition on August 9.

David Haye: "Wladimir Klitschko is a Weak Number-One"

David Haye is sounding like a man obsessed. He says that every single day, he is focused on fighting WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. He wants everything that Klitschko has. At every turn, Haye has been calling Klitschko out and even following the champion around during London charity appearances.

"Every day I want what Klitschko has - and I'm going to take it off him. Downtime? I don't want it, nor do I need it. I'll be 30 in two years, and the clock is ticking. I'm focused 24/7 on the prize - the world heavyweight crown, and then the unification of the crown," Haye told UK outlet, The Telegraph. "These current champions have made a mockery of what was once considered 'the richest prize in sport'. Thirty six months is not a long time, I can live a quiet life in Cyprus. We live well here, the climate is fantastic, the organic food is great here, life is healthy."

After he unified the cruiserweight division in November, Haye set his sights on the heavyweight division. He plans to start the hevyweight journey in the fall. He wants a top-ten opponent to move up the ladder.

"Whoever it is, it will be a top-ten contender. Hasim Rahman and Oleg Maskaev have been in the frame, but nothing is confirmed yet. I want my ride to be exciting for the fans. Lennox Lewis was the last great heavyweight - he dominated the division and fought all the contenders and destroyed them - I'm a long way off that yet. Klitschko is a weak No 1 for the division, and it needs setting to rights."

"I do feel I can beat anyone out there, but from a marketing point of view, I want to have two fights, and then build towards it. He's predictable, and I'm going to exploit that with speed and footwork. Believe me, I am going to be Klitschko's nemesis when we meet in the ring."

Jermain Taylor-Carl Froch: Purse Bid Deadline Extended

The WBC, in an effort to make the fight happen, has given promoters Lou DiBella and Mick Hennessy an extra week to strike a deal for a super middleweight clash between Jermain Taylor and Carl Froch, for the vacant WBC 168-pound title. If a deal is not made, Setanta Sports is reporting that Froch would then face Jean Pascal.

DiBella, Taylor and more importantly HBO, are more interested in a clash with former champion Jeff Lacy. Lacy returns in a tuneup bout on July 23. DiBella and Taylor are going to wait until Lacy fights before a decision is made on a possible clash with Froch.

The prior deadline would have given the promoters two-days to strike a deal, now they have an additional week. Should Lacy lose or suffer an injury during the July 23 return, Froch would become a frontrunner to face Taylor.

Pacquiao to stay at 135

The WBC had given Manny Pacquiao until July 28th to decide whether to keep the WBC lightweight or WBC super featherweight title. The Pacman, however, has already made his choice, and not surprisingly will remain at lightweight. "I have already instructed my lawyer to inform the WBC that I will defend by 135-pound championship belt....so this means the 130-pound championship belt I won last March will be given up," Pacquiao told ABS-CBN News.

Toney speaks after win

After his round stoppage victory over Hasim Rahman, James Toney had plenty to say about the fight and his future plans. "I was planning on stopping him (Rahman) before the seventh round," said Toney, who fought for the first time in 14 months. "I wanted to put him on his back. He kept looking for a way out because he did not expect for me to come in shape for this fight." Toney knew that he fought better in this fight than in the bout over two years ago against Rahman. "I was able to catch him better in this fight because I was landing sloppy right hands in the first fight. He was more cautious because he knew that I was in shape for this fight." Asked about his future plans, Toney stated, "I want to fight in Detroit in three weeks, but I know that (promoter) Dan (Goossen) won't let me." In regards to the Klitschko brothers, he responded in typical Toney fashion "Why do people think that they (Wladimir and Vitali) are great? I will beat (Wladimir) Klitschko! I will be 40 years old next month. I am back on my game."

The hall-of-fame American trainer even daringly said Pacquiao is capable of knocking De La Hoya out. “When I trained Oscar he was just having trouble pulling the trigger and he’s a little bit slow. If Stevie Forbes can hit him as easily as he did, I know Pacquiao will knock him out,“ said Roach in the daily morning Philippine radio show. “I know my guy. The thing is I would never take a fight that I didn’t know my guy could win. I would never do that.”

I think this what spurred that whole Roach commentary...

Oscar De La Hoya's trainer Floyd Joy Mayweather Sr. saw nothing special about Manny Pacquiao and his coach Freddie Roach. Strong words from Mayweather:

Pacquiao, he ain't nothing but a puncher. End of story. Everybody is caught up, jumping on his bandwagon. All that talk about Freddie becoming Oscar's trainer...well, that might be true. But you can't teach nothing when you don't know nothing. So Pacquiao kicked Erik Morales' ass, so what? Zahir Rahim beat that guy, he is just finished. A blind man can see that.

Guys jumping on Pacquiao's bandwagon, they jump on Roach's bandwagon also. Pacquiao got no defense and no balance. He is always lunging. You think Roach can go in the gym. Put on the pads and show Pacquiao things like slipping punches, going side to side and banging to the body and then head, hooking off the jab...things like that? Freddie can't do it and most guys (trainers) can't do it.

Haye: Heavies are fat slobs!

Former undisputed cruiserweight champion David Haye, now campaigning as a heavyweight, has called today's heavyweight boxers as 'fat slobs,' saying the entire division a disgrace. In an interview with Setanta Sports News at his training camp in north Cyprus, Haye stated, "They seem to think just because they're heavyweights they can come in out of shape. No fighter can fight as compared to when they're in shape. These guys are very slow. The shots I've been hit with and hurt with, even put down by, are shots I couldn't see, and were thrown by people who are very fast. Heavyweights don't punch that fast. Come November you're going to see what the future of the heavyweight division looks like."

:yes:I hope so, it's time for a change, this is the worst era ever in heavyweight boxing.

Looks like negotiations between Kelly Pavlik and welterweight Paul Williams hit a snag, and Allen Green and his 'advisor' priced himself out of the fight.

Word is that it will be Pavlik-Hopkins on a pay-per-view event on October 18th in Atlantic City.

Odds are the fight would take place at 170 lbs.

Also talks of a fight between Paul Williams and Winky Wright.

Oscar Diaz Update

The surgery performed on Oscar Diaz "went well" and "he is stabilized but still in critical condition." Reportedly Diaz is under heavy sedation, but was not in a medically induced coma.

Miguel Cotto / Bob Arum
Training Camp Q&A

"This is just another fight for me," said Miguel Cotto from his training camp in Cauguas, Puerto Rico. "It's a fight that Margarito wants to take my title – and that makes it big enough for me. Margarito is a great fighter. I have trained to win this fight and that is all that's on my mind right now – win this fight. I feel the same right now, in this fight with Margarito, as I do going into most of my fights. This is going to be a battle in the ring. Everyone that shows up is going to see a real battle because he is trying to take my title away."

Do you prepare differently because you may get more punishment than in your last few fights?

Miguel Cotto: When I train, I try to get my body in the best shape that I can. I have trained so hard for Margarito that my trainers know that I have nothing left to give.

What about the Mexican vs. Puerto Rican rivalry?

Miguel Cotto: Any time you have a Puerto Rican and a Mexican fight it makes me think of the Gomez- Sanchez fight and the Pintor-Gomez fight and the Oscar De La Hoya – Trinidad fight. Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito will put this fight at the same level as those.

Which is your first memory of the rivalry and do you feel a passion?

Miguel Cotto: I think Gomez is the first memory I have of the rivalry. The moment that you don't feel a passion for preparing to get into the ring for any fight – that is when you have quit on the job. Everybody knows about the rivalry. Now it is me against Margarito. This fight will add another shot to the rivalry.

What about your legacy?

Miguel Cotto: I always climb in the ring to win the fight. If you ask me to put me on a scale with other boxers I am going to put Miguel Cotto as high on the list as I can – but only with my success in the ring. I cannot tell you that I deserve a ranking. My job is to train and to box. The people that write about boxing will decide my ranking and my legacy.

Bob Arum: As far as Miguel Cotto is concerned he is training and going into the ring to win the fight like a great fighter does. He goes in the ring to win. The legacy is determined later by the people who write about the sport. Just like the president of the United States. He has to do the best, in his mind, for the country and his job is graded later by pundits and writers – the determination being if he was a good president, a great president or a poor president. It's the same thing with Miguel Cotto. He is focused on winning this fight and the determination of his legacy comes afterward.

Miguel Cotto: I try to bring the best Miguel Cotto into the ring that I possibly can, you know? The determination and dedication in the last three years for me, the people that write about boxing see the pleasure Miguel Cotto brings into the ring. The Miguel Cotto that can box and can move. When there is someone that can do that – you are a complete boxer. They are the kind of fighters that people want to see. Someone would remember Miguel Cotto in those kinds of fights is proof that the hard work pays off.

With a win, what do you think would happen to your Pound-4-pound ranking?

Miguel Cotto: I trained hard for 9 or 10 weeks to win and return to Puerto Rico with my belt. I had a really good camp and when I beat Margarito it is not up to myself to decide that. I will do my work in the ring the best I can. The writers and the people who know about boxing who make those lists can answer that question.

Do you think it will be a pro-Mexican crowd since it is in Vegas?

Miguel Cotto: I do not worry about that. It does not matter to me what kind of person is watching the fight because when we get in the ring it is only Margarito and me.

Did you talk to Tito about this rivalry?

Miguel Cotto: I don't have to talk to anyone about this rivalry. I only need to know about Margarito and myself.

How is your body since you have been fighting at 147?

Miguel Cotto: When you destroy yourself to make a lower weight you suffer the consequences in the ring. Now I feel more comfortable at 147 pounds and the people that see my fights at 147 can see that.

Bob Arum: After his last fight at 140, Todd duBoef took Miguel to a high velocity trainer in Los Angeles and they did a complete evaluation. They said you have to be crazy to fight Miguel at 140 pounds because in order to make the weight he was burning muscle. In the 24 hours between the weigh-in and the fight, he put the weight back on but he didn't put the muscle back on. Therefore he was getting tired in the ring and he was getting weak and getting wobbled by punches. 147 is his natural weight and it has been tremendous for him. The change has been dramatic since he has moved to 147.

Do you know your game plan fight the fight with Margarito?

Miguel Cotto: I try to use everything that we have worked on in the camp and I will benefit from that work. I will feel better in the ring in the beginning of the fight because that is when the game plan is at its best.

Do you think there will be less boxing/more punching because of this heated rivalry?

Miguel Cotto: I will use whatever I need to use to win this fight. I can't tell you what style I will have to use and until I get in the ring I don't know what style will win this fight – move or box. But I will try to use everything and I always feel better when I do that.

Comparisons to other great Puerto Rican fighters?

Miguel Cotto: A lot of people will compare me to the great Puerto Rican fighters. I don't compare myself to the other greats. I just try to do my work to win for me and my family and my country and the people who root for me.

What goals do you have in boxing?

Miguel Cotto: To show my ability and to show my skills in the ring. I try to maintain like a champion. My goal when I began was to become a champion with the belts. I am pretty happy with my career up to now. I am happy with the managers of my career and I am happy with myself. I train very hard to show my ability and my skills in the ring. If there is something left to better my career it would only be to get better. Every boxer's goal is to become a champion. Then you become a champion and you try to maintain yourself as a champion.

How about 8 oz gloves compared to 10 oz?

Miguel Cotto: It doesn't make a difference to me. When I box, 2 ounces is not that much of a difference.

What about fighting in Las Vegas for the first time in a long time?

Miguel Cotto: Everywhere is good. Madison Square Garden had a lot of people from Puerto Rico to cheer me on and help with my performance. Now I go to a new place – MGM in Las Vegas. I am going to have a lot of fun there.

Are you upset you won't get a chance to fight Mayweather and why do you think he retired?

Miguel Cotto: I think Mayweather retired because he thought that would be the best for him. I can't answer a question like that – the only person that can answer that is Mayweather. Margarito is my upcoming fight on July 26 and Mayweather retired and my career has to continue and there are a lot of big names at 147 lbs. to make good fights. I can't be upset because my career is great. I am always going to fight whoever my company puts in front of me.

What's are your feelings on the fight?

Bob Arum: I promote both of these fighters and each came to us in a completely different way. Miguel we had from the beginning right out of the Olympics and Antonio Margarito had quite a few fights before coming to us. They are both terrific fighters and the one thing I take pleasure in is that the battle of these two guys are in the biggest fight in years and in a fight that is attracting a lot of attention and they are both treated with dignity and first class. We have special buses that each will be traveling in during fight week. Each is treated like a true champion and Bob Arum will be sitting at ringside with the outcome having absolutely no affect on me – that's how I like it.
