I've only seen Anora from the Best Picture nominations, but really enjoyed it.

I still need to see The Substance, The Brutalist, Dune 2, A Complete Unknown, and Nickel Boys.

I believe The Brutalist, Wicked, and Conclave will perform well awards-wise.

Seems like the lead from Emilia Perez really derailed alot of the movie's buzz.

It's surprising the Dune movies haven't gotten more credit. Often hear the reviews with people saying what works of art they are. Major productions.

Definitely received mixed reviews over the past number of months. Seemed problematic from jump though, and the lead's history of terrible tweets really was and is a complete mess. Sounds like a piece of shit person. And just a month ago (before all this) people were loving her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes.

One of Them Days




Watched it yesterday. Predictable, but I enjoyed it.

Fun watching the contrast of personalities between Palmer and SZA as friends.

Plenty of amusing moments in the movie, but the funniest were definitely those with physical comedy (i.e. - industrial dishwasher, truck door, blood donation, drive-thru). I wouldn't have minded if they played up those scenes longer.

2 other funny characters in the movie were Katt Williams and the obnoxiously antagonist woman at the cash advance place.
