If you are having a good first date there's usually good conversation over a good meal. Some flirting and charm,kiss good night and the are you home safe let's do this again call but not so for Violet (Meghann Fahy) and photographer Henry (Brandon Sklenar) as they get pulled into something sinister. The charm and thoughtfulness of the date is intact and I liked that it started to blend with a Hitchcock vibe,as i tried to figure out why Violet was chosen to be tormented and threatened while on the date. Both actors do a fine job as the scenes and date becomes more tumultuous. Even a few of the obnoxious moves a person can bring to a date was infused in their scenes together. Even when I tried to pick apart a few things in the films first hour like asking well why doesn't she do this or that but her tormentor had her pretty much covered so I went along with it as the film was still remaining on a suspenseful path.The visuals are interesting and on point as the torment continues.

PROBLEMS: There are a couple of time out let's explain things moments that didn't blend well with all of the suspense that was great in the first hour. I think the tormentor could have made a couple of moves to get what they wanted instead of choosing such an elaborate route. The climax was very basic.

Warfare is a 2025 war action film written and directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland. The Outpost is a 2019 American war film directed by Rod Lurie, based on the 2012 non-fiction book The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor by Jake Tapper, about the Battle of Kamdesh in the War in Afghanistan. It stars Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, Orlando Bloom, Jack Kesy, Cory Hardrict, Milo Gibson, Jacob Scipio, Will Attenborough, and Taylor John Smith.

It had its world premiere at Thessaloniki International Film Festival on November 2, 2019. The film was scheduled to premiere at the 2020 South by Southwest Film Festival, but the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released via Premium VOD and in selected theaters on July 3, 2020. The film received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for the battle sequences and respectful depiction of the soldiers.


Background​

In 2006, PRT Kamdesh – later renamed Combat Outpost Keating – was one of several U.S. Army outposts established in Northern Afghanistan. Located in a remote valley surrounded by the Hindu Kush mountains, the base was regarded as a deathtrap; the troops stationed there faced regular Taliban attacks, culminating in one of the bloodiest American engagements of Operation Enduring Freedom. The film tells the story of the 53 U.S. soldiers and two Latvian military advisors who battled some 300 enemy insurgents at the Battle of Kamdesh.

First, make sure you stay for the mid credit scene. The end credit scene wasn't really necessary

Ryan Coogler showed what a great filmmaker he is. The story itself was interesting before the vampire aspects is added. It does a great job of character development. Also, it's basically a musical with how much blues is intertwined.

Delroy Lindo is so underrated. The guy who played Sammy did a great job for his first movie. Michael B Jordan also impressed me.

I'll probably go see it again in IMAX, but the music makes me want to see it in Dolby.

Hopefully it does well, the IMAX and Dolby for later were pretty packed, so hopefully we support it.
