* I remember when this record dropped on the Funk Flex show I could hear it from EVERY radio in the hood. This was the Fugees had on LOCK :dance: Millions of records videos on TV all day and every station regardless of format played at least ONE of their records. And I was so proud of Wyclef & Pras actually represented very well on this remix...Of course the Queen L killed it but it reminded everyone how they sounded great TOGETHER. its the truth tho..when it was annouced that the fugees were getting back together for the concert film that shit made buzz for about a week at the most then the flick came out and that was it..:smh:

After The Score they essentially broke up and that was by far their biggest album that MOST people know them by so as far as mainstream and fairweather fans are concerned the fugees are basically a one album wonder.

But seriously if the fugees had stayed together do you honestly think they have beaten the sophomore curse and put out more hit albums on the level of the score??

Go listen to Wyclef's the Carnival (which is multi-platinum) damn even Pras had Ghetto Supastar...Forte was an asset.

If they put in the same work with Saalam, Diamond D and the NEW producers they would havve access too?

Hell even the production team that did Mis-education ALONE would have crafter an outstanding follow-up to the Score.

* THIS is the song. Many will debate how/why the Fugees blew up like they did. And I can tell you its because of this song right here. It was a damn classic on first listen...but I KNEW L Boogie was gonna go solo as soon as the track finished. Used to laugh that Clef had to force that 'ONE TIME' in there so the publishing was straight :lol: And I remember this was actually WASN'T released as a single initially so you HAD to buy the album (brilliant idea!) I think Pras was responsible for that idea in part because he managed the money/some label relations back then. And even the video was great...

During the interview Wyclef took a moment to shout out all of the Fugees. Wyclef also expressed that he thinks it’s imperative to make a 20 year reunion and anniversary celebration happen to celebrate their ‘The Score’ album.

“It would be definitely a regret to let this 20 years go by, something that we built in a basement, and we let the 20 years go by and we definitely don’t do something. So I’m reaching out right now. We need to make this reunion happen for the culture.”

Now fans wouldn’t want to see this celebration happen without Lauryn, but getting her to commit may not be promising or encouraging either as she has been consistently late to shows for years.

If this comes to fruition we hope Lauryn can “align her energy with the time” and be at the concert venue early!
