The injury was misrepresented (at least to the media). They brought him back and literally the day before he couldn't even get through a full practice. He comes out starting and playing more minutes than anyone else on the team up to that point.
They got the win and likely only because he played, but if they lose the series, everyone loses on that decision.
And Durant has literally the worst injury he could have right in the heart of his prime.
