But at the end of the day, that's facts. I'm not white. We need to know what it is, a business, and act/use leverage accordingly.
We have to take emotions out of business.
Understood

Except when black people make business decisions about their careers their jerseys get burned, the owner assassinates their character, then the talking heads join in to reinforce the narrative.

I don't know...

Cause i saw a clip where Jalen addressed thst SPECIFIC comment from the beat writers.

All i can say is this, he was right.

And he wasn't slick or sneaky

He went out in public and put his name on it

And was proven correct.

Yeah so again the beat writer's who fucking follow the team and have all access to the team all year round couldn't see KD work out but somehow they let Jalen Rose a national media member who will undoubtedly go on tv and say what he saw watch KD practice

make that make fucking sense.

He wasn't 100% nobody said he was
He was fucking FINE and killing it until the FLUKE shit happened again
he got injured on a FLUKE the first time remember?

Huh??? What are you talking about? Everybody in this thread has been saying since KD first got injured that it was he Achilles and he wasn’t gonna come back. Even when they cleared him to play everybody was saying he was making a mistake

If you can show me "everybody saying he was making a mistake" when he was cleared, I'll admit I was wrong. But I don't think you'll be able to because that's not what I saw.

So the bullshit but we're gonna keep repeating it line is now "everybody knew it was his Achilles and that he was really gonna mess it up if he played tonight."

Funny how I didn't hear anybody saying what everybody knew until after it happened. KD must be a real moron to hear y'all tell it.

Since 5/9/19

Remember, you called yourself a “Moron”. We’ve been saying it was an achilles injury for a month.

Go back a few pages

Nah, man. You're right that people were speculating a month ago that it was an achilles injury.

But this dude claimed "everybody knew it was his Achilles and that he was really gonna mess it up if he played tonight."

If that were true, there would have been a bunch of commentary before Game 5 about Durant like my post about Thompson before game 3:

I agree with Kornheiser... The smarter move in a seven game series is to preserve his health for the next four possible games rather than risk making it worse, which could be fatal to the Warriors.

If they really "prefer Klay Thompson sit out Game 3 to protect his sore hamstring for the rest of NBA Finals," they have a responsibility to keep him from aggravating it.

You see the criticism BEFOREHAND about "risk of making it worse" and "a responsibility to keep him from aggravating it"? You see that being talked about as the lead story on one of the world's biggest sports shows?

There was NONE of that about Durant before Game 5. Not that I saw in media and not on BGOL. Just a bunch of hindsight-driven bullshit.

I posted before the game about them playing him. So it has nothing to do with Media.

Damn......he straight up said he was so bad he didn’t think he’s play in the series.

When I saw that, I just thought Kerr was saying Durant was going to play "next" game all playoffs was just some psychological shit he was playing on his team.. so that they would keep fighting for the hope of Durant coming back as opposed to just shutting the door. When they announced he was practicing, but only doing 1 on 1 and 3 and 3 work with the players who don't even play (the day before)..i'm still like "there is no way he is playing"..

people on some "injuries happen"... GTFOH.. everyone been saying his achilles (not his calf) was fucked up and the nigga completely tears it after one quarter. That wasn't some fluke shit! We've got the evidence he should have never been out there.

It's not a fluke when you're already playing on an injury.

If I have a high ankle sprain....and come back early without a real practice and have another ankle-sprain, that's not a "fluke". It means I went out before my previous injury had adequately healed. Him not being able to go through a full workout the day before the game is all the evidence that you need that he wasn't ready.

I understand

But we gotta deal with the fact that Jalen said it put his name on it and was PROVEN RIGHT.

I can't call that man a liar.

He did what EVERY fam DEMANDS and rarely gets...

He put his name on it

So whatever happens he gets a whole lot of credit from me and now i doubt the beat writers just a little.

Btw.. jalen has done this a few times before.

Ready he was ready.
100% he was not 100%
There's no argument to be made he would be 100% and I didn't read anyone say he would be 100% Ready and 100% are 2 different things.

My only assertion is no malicious intent cause there was none. No pressure to get him on the floor there was none. During this time Kerr had to give updates he gave updates with taking it slow and seeing where he is he was never saying any games in fact most people believed he'd be back for game 4 remember? Everyone said it was a lock and then they held him out of that cause he wasn't ready.

It's fucked up what happened to him we agree fully. he was not 100% but he was ready to play or they wouldn't have put him out there.

Durant playing 12 minutes was the difference. That's how good that nigga is... they road that first quarter lead. It's only worth it if the Warriors win the next two.
But like I asked does this sound like a dude who was betrayed by doctors and the organization as niggas have been in a rush to say he was
and like i said he owes them nothing at this point he is a free agent basically

it don't it sounds like a dude who knows they tried and then got hurt and he's hurt that he can't be out there not that he was out there in the first place and got some bad advice.

Ready he was ready.
.

Clearly he wasn't.

Had this not been the NBA finals, he wouldn't have been playing.

Someone did a risk assessment and said we're doing 3-1 and our best offensive player is out and we aren't generating enough offense...let's see if we can get him through it and they pulled the trigger. The fact he didn't even make it past one full quarter is the clearest indication he wasn't ready.

Had he had a full practice, he likely would have injured himself then.. but he didn't have a full one because you don't put players through a full practice if you don't think they're ready for it.

We'll likely find out.

We don't know what he was told. Just because they kept reporting it was a "calf" injury to the media doesn't mean that's what he was told. And it still could have been a calf injury (I don't think it was) and the overcompensation put too much stress on his achilles tendon, but they did a risk/reward assessment because they were down 3-1 and in the finals and went for it. Had yall been up 3-1, Durant wouldn't have played.

I've had a few discussions in this thread with multiple people about the KD injury.

The main point we were making is that the GSW might be misleading us because that is more likely the Achilles.

At least three people have discussed their personal experience with Achilles injuries.

Again, we aren't doctors, trainers, or specialists, but if we can see that shit from here I don't understand how they "missed" it

First time was a fluke and second time is a trend....and a Achilles of all things..not some sprained ankle or flu....obviously Reggie Miller isn't a doctor but he called that shit immediately....probably wasn't a blown Achilles but a achillies injury for sure.

The crazy shit is that if the Warriors manage to win this series, Durant playing for one fucking quarter might end up being the difference.

Boom

Which will in a crazy way?

Give some credence to the whole they couldn't win without KD argument

I can do that lol
because the policy didn't change for him
He can be right in saying he don't think he's ready
but he's lying about seeing him play because they don't let anyone see injured players coming back from major injuries play.
and he's the only media member to see it right?

both things can be true
he can be right in his thinking without actually seeing it.
