Well damn what do ya know? As I said. His mom doesn’t make her first post in 4 months about her sons toughness being questioned for nothing.

Also said: KD is not the type of dude who’s built to handle scrutiny for taking care of himself. He’s not Kawhi. He feels he has to prove people wrong. Everything gets to him.

Kendrick also stood on his word saying basically KD was trying to play to silence naysayers. So yes y’all a GROWN ASS man as y’all say needed to be saved from himself and he wasn’t.

but he was absolutely ready or they wouldn't have put them out there.
Bills, bro, you're bugging.

He had ZERO business out there man. He couldnt get thru a soft practice as recently as thursday evening and hadnt gone thru one full NBA practice in over a month. This is near malpractice and negligence if not full on there.

I keep bringing it up

Dude went from MVP candidate to almost out the league.

Listen to white people talk about athletes... ESPECIALLY Max Kellerman. The players aren't even human. They are assets. They specifically use that term.

The terms aren't exclusive.

They're humans. They're also indisputably assets. I've heard Max use the term and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the way he does.

I hope you are or were an asset somewhere (or for yourself). Either that or born rich because those are pretty much the only ways of making it. All paid labor is exploitative, athletes are no different from other workers in that regard. If you want to see the terms as exclusive, we have to get rid of capitalism first.

Fam, im still trying to figure out how it is physically possible to play a nba finals game with no minute restrictions in monday when the previous thursday he couldnt go through a gotdamn workout.

People claiming he should have played are avoiding this question like the plague.

I mean, we seen how easily that injury happened.

That alone told me everything I needed to know.

He was loose at the start of the game, but when he went to the bench for rest is where I think his muscles tightened up.

Dude messed his shit up doing a simple basketball move.

Nurse better hope they win this series.

You've got the leagues best and worst closers on your team and somehow the wrong guys get the last shot.

https://www.tsn.ca/kyle-lowry-drops...go-ahead-fgs-with-late-blocked-shot-1.1320465

Draytmond Green's last-second block on Kyle Lowry in Game 5 Monday night dropped the Toronto Raptors’ point guard to just 2-of-30 on go-ahead field goal attempts in the final 20 seconds of games over the course of his career.

Lowry's conversion rate of 6.7 per cent is the worst field goal percentage in those situations since he entered the league in 2007-08. Former Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings has the second-worst conversion rate – among players with at least 20 attempts – in that span at 3-for-29 (10.3 per cent).

The Raptors needed a field goal on their final possession to win Game 5, down one point with 15 seconds left after an offensive foul by Golden State Warriors centre DeMarcus Cousins. The possession began with the ball in the hands of leading scorer Kawhi Leonard, but he was double-teamed by the Warriors and passed the ball to Fred VanVleet, who found Lowry in the corner.

"It felt great out of my hand," Lowry said of his last-second attempt. "He got a piece of it. That's what great defenders do. He got a piece of it and we'll continue to look at it and see how we can be better for the next game."

Leonard, meanwhile, has the NBA's best field goal percentage of go-ahead attempts in the final 20 seconds since 2007-08, at 45.8 per cent (11-of-24). He explained his decision not to attempt the game-winning shot post-game.

"Well, I mean two guys came up on me. I don't know if I could have got a shot off," he said. "It's hard. If you got two guys on top of you, you have to try to find the right play. We ended up getting a shot in the corner, but it just didn't go off quick enough."

But KD should know his body and he did have his Achilles wrapped.......Warriors was just scared to take a ass whippin

Player aren't trained to read magnetic resonance imaging devices nor are they trained to know if the reading was even properly targeted. It's malpractice if staff had been telling him it was his calf yet the achillees was already stretched. We'll know at some point. Remember Kerr was on TV saying he was saying "there was no risk of further injury". That would indicate they had been telling him it was just a strained calf muscle and nothing else was at risk.

If the achilles was already stretched, I'm sure if they told him "Kevin, you might be able to go out there and play, but considering the injury, you'll be running the risk of detaching your achilles completely", he'd have sat. His coach was literally on tv every day saying he was "day to day" and there was no risk of further injury.

I agree with both points here.

KD is a grown, man and should have a better understanding of his body.

However, trainers/coach/staff got to be better in looking out for their players.

The circumstances wasn't hard to read for either side.

We'll never know if it was truly his achilles that originally put him out.

And I would hate to think that they knew and didn't tell him....

KD has far more power than any GM.

Bob Myers could push all he wants KD held all the chips...
Imagine seeing his team go down was hard on him and he made a hard fucking choice.

It's heartbreaking to see any black man as good as him go down.

Only bum ass niggas and bitch ass CACs cheer for injuries

Yeah... actually he was leading all players in minutes at the time he went down... they went "0 to 100" real quick.

We KNOW KD is an emotional dude. But most franchises would have saved the player from himself.

This is way Nurse needs to learn to set Kawhi up on plays. Allowing Leonard to handle the rock late when he don't pass well out of the double team is why Lowry ends up taking that shot.

Leonard is going to get double-team every time in late game situations like Game 5.

Should probably put 3 players on one side and two on the other and give Kawhi the ball in the post in that situation.

The crazy shit is that if the Warriors manage to win this series, Durant playing for one fucking quarter might end up being the difference.

Boom

Which will in a crazy way?

Give some credence to the whole they couldn't win without KD argument

I knew it was going there. :smh:

In a seven game series, a lot of individual actions achieve the final outcome. No one player or play is "the" difference, he/it can only be a difference-maker. If they win, they couldn't win without KD, Looney, Iggy, etc. KD deserves credit for helping them win game four, as did all contributors in that one point victory. But if they win two more games (half the total) consecutively without Durant, anybody who says, without qualification, they couldn't win without him should never be listened to in any regard.

His emotional nature was ultimately his blind spot in making a better choice for himself.

I can't place blame on KD or the franchise solely. Both played a role.

I blame the franchise completely.

KD is supposed to be emotional about playing in the NBA finals. Every player should be.

The franchise is supposed to have a process in place for these things and the phrase "save the player from himself" was invented for that reason specifically.

EXACTLY both PLAYED A ROLE both decided to give it a go.
again he ain't out here feeling betrayed he's devastated as is the team that this shit happened.

i just laugh at the thought that the team that wants to sign him to a max would want to intentionally risk this happening
cause kd is getting the max NO MATTER WHAT

again they could def be WRONG but not malicious and not or any ill intentions

but that's not enough for cats and they know who they are.

I understand, but he still grown. I don't believe relieving a person 100% irresponsible for themselves.

I agree.

The tricky thing about some injuries is that just because it feels better doesn't necessarily mean better.

I have no doubt KD felt better, but I refuse to believe he was completely unaware of the risk.

Its easier to say they said you're 100% healthy so go out there when deep down they know that's a fucking farce and not consistent with anything that's been done including this fucking playoff series.
but again that's all good.
