We don't know and I never claimed to know

Again it's all speculation
But niggas are saying they're shit and treating it as fact when it isn't

I've only been in here saying the same thing

No pressure which there was no reporting on there being any before jus the same reporters talking shit about the warriors talking shit about KD for not manning up.
And if there had been it would have been all over instead of this revisionist shit

And his actions are not the one of a guy who feels exactly how ppl are saying he feels

And being ready isn't being 100 and he was not 100 but clearly he and the doctors thought he was and they were wrong.
And again not true. This was written before and Bleacher Report story was the day after game 4.

why is that distinction important is my question
why is the distinction to clarify not all were cheering for the injury is needed to say when the problem is just that raptors fans were cheering for the injury?

Because I don't think the response was atypical and people are conflating two separate responses. The immediate loud roar was for the turnover and score on the fast break...not Durant.

For the record there were also confirmed reports that the people close to him like his family and close associates told him not to play. But my bad they doing that cause there was no risk of injury.

Its tricky.

The fact is they cheered his injury, period

Basketball been in Canada way too long for that to happen.

I'm not indicting the ENTIRE fan base.

But it was a bad look they need to just own it and get called out and lets move on.

Because if the lakers, warriors etc had cheered an injured player like that during the finals?

They would have been killed.

I honestly think you'd get the same response in damn near any opposing arena.. and especially these non-winning ass fans who know that they weren't winning with Durant on the court.... completely classless but the initial roar wasn't because of Durant...it was for the fast break and score

interesting
so the immediate loud roar was for the turnover and score not durant which we agree
wouldnt it make it worse since the play was over and then those fans started cheering his injury?

Oh. There were multiple players (even former teammates) publicly stating that he shouldn't play because the injury was too serious.

Why would I call it that when there was no instance of pressure before last night?

Suddenly working for the team and being in the league matters on this

But it didn't when everyone ran with the other bullshit narratives?

All good.
It matters because you clearly are ignoring the clear documented history of Achilles injuries and how they occur. That’s a classic way it happens. Nothing fluke about it. Fluke is him tripping over a toy in the locker room and tearing it. In a game making a basketball move on a weakened area isn’t fluke. It’s the effect of the cause.

Damn. This one is damning. Jalen is pretty much saying that Durant couldn't even make it through the practice on Friday.

And I remember when he said that at half time like game 3...like when they said he was gonna be "full go" I knew it was a red flag.

Nope.

The fans cheering the injury is classless. What I'm saying is that what most people are saying was the fans cheering his injury was the fans actually cheering for the steal and fast break.

That was going to happen. It was just a matter of how long was it going to take. Every minute he was out there was on borrowed time.

Nope they doing that cause they wanted to take NO chances and just go to free agency which is what THOSE people should want for their friend/family/client
they always side with extreme caution and just don't even do it. always that's nothing new is it?
You've never heard any report confirming that those people think someone should be playing have you? never.

I'm not ignoring anything.
I misspoke. The initial injury was a fluke. This injury is because he wasn't 100%
and I said from jump 100% and ready isn't the same thing nor the barometer of which players play especially in the biggest moments.

I get you

We are usually ahead of the curve on BGOL

I'll never forget when we called The Katrina disaster before it happened in NO

If he has to take the player option (and doesn't get a max contract from the Warriors or anyone else), we'll get the real story eventually...especially if the Warriors end up losing.

I havent' seen a distinction just players commenting on the cheering nobody mentioned the time or when they were doing it from what I saw.

2 things stick out for me.

The report from when he was first in the locker room that it was so much raw emotion that they had to clear the room to give KD some space.. his mom and his agent were there. I find it hard to believe that some of that raw emotion was his mom and team and possibly him spazzing on the training staff.

Secondly .. we all know how social media aware KD is. He even released a statement last night. We all know he sees that the medical staff is being killed in the media. Notice he has not come out and defended them.

I know you know they were wrong. Its just we gotta try to be fair.

Look i am not a monstars fan

I'm sadly a diehard Knicks fan

However I'm a basketball fan period

But we gotta be fair.

Golden State much like the heat before them are treated differently

Curry mouthpiece gets a 500 word essay on sportsmanship

the shimmy gets another 500.

If another team like the dubs had cheered an injury?

Good lawd.

My tdot brethren gotta take this hit own it apologize

Cause it's a very bad look.

You can't claim to be the best fans and so progressive and knowledgeable and inclusive and well behaved...

Your GM said f*ck brooklyn

Drake been going 0 to 100

And now you cheering injury?

You gotta chill take a timeout in Marvin's room.

Make sure this dont happen again

And remember

Kawhi is watching

The initial injury was the same way. Classic Achilles that just how it happens. Simple jumping .... or plant move .... feeling of being kicked ....

Misrepresenting the injury does that. You can play through many degrees of a calf injury. You can't play through any degree of an achilles injury. That's why I was surprised when his initial injury was ruled as a "calf strain" when it really looked like a CLASSIC achilles injury.
Exactly. Those players only had those questions and put pressure on him because they thought it was a calf ....

oh. my twitter feed was going nuts... but again, I follow tech people...so obviously, 90% of my feed is Warriors' fans. I was going off of that...not what people were saying on BGOL... they were on some "as soon as KD went down" shit... which I thought the same thing until I actually watched a replay and literally everyone is following the ball and they noticed KD later.

They trash for it though.

No one questioned that.

It's when they knew and cheered.

It’s after the fact. Those were before the fact. Boogie may not be the one that pressured him especially since he’s coming off the same injury.

You said all this was revisionist ... it’s documented that it’s not.

The problem with the "documented" is that its rumor speculative and no name attached and its supposed to be fact when its proven they regularly make shit up all the time.
This isn't aimed at this particular instance but my general feeling about "REPORTS" all the time.

we live in an extra content era where journalist become the story and want to break news and put shit out there hoping it sticks.

again I aint coming at you. I'm coming at my unwillingness to trust sports journalism as altruistically as some do to me there is no difference between sports journalism and the regular journalism we regularly distrust because of agenda's and what not.
its been my same energy for all reports from people with sources.

so my info always comes from the players or actual beat writers
not outsiders and that goes from any team. i go to the beat writers.
