I am VERY VERY disappointed

@largebillsonlyplease was absolutely correct

I have been listening to live podcasts, interviews etc...

they were REALLY cheering the injury to the point that Lowy and OTHER players had too BEG them to stop.
Notice how they are trying to spin that shit?

"It was just a couple of people"

That's not what I saw. Mark Jackson, VanGundy, The Raptors players all heard what we all did. Trash ass fans

I get why the Warriors would do it. I do not get why those other teams would even bother though.
Honestly it makes the least sense for them. They have no depth anymore. Livingston and Iggy look like it’s over for them after this run. Maxing Klay and KD gives them like an $150 million tax bill and they won’t get any production from KD this season and he may not ever be back to form.

Yeah but if they let KD they still over the salary cap. Letting KD walk does nothing for them.

Yeah but at least with KD being off their books... they can maneuver. They have Klay Bird rights so they can sign some mid tier guys then have Klay sign. They are still over the cap but they can get some other guys.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. Maxing Durant now pretty much locks them out of winning next season. They don't have the depth to pay him $32M not to play for the whole season considering they're gonna have to put up other max contracts.

Because the leading experts may actually work independently of the team.

Just a thought
Which means their team wasn’t good enough in the first place and he needed a second independent. The Warriors better hope the expert doesn’t find that it was always the Achilles in the first place.

The telling thing for me is this. He still didn’t comment on their medical staff.
I get it everybody looking for someone to blame.

Dudes acting like the Warriors are putting hit jobs on thier best players n shit.

Meanwhile these dudes don't even know of the 2 injuries are connected or not... Hell. They don't even know the severity of his injury.

From a top doctor “When you rupture your Achilles, you know it before you leave the locker room. The Thompson test and others lets you know this before the MRI. The MRI is for severity.

They can sign mid tier guys with KD on the books too.

KD could opt in and still get a max deal. Y’all underrate how desperate teams are lol.

from what I understand/have heard...he will automatically lose out on some $$$ bcuz he will not be able to meet “qualifiers”/incentives as a result of sitting out next season if he opts in for a year and tries to get a “max” after that...IF this is true then he’d have to factor how much $$$ sitting out can cost him and will it be worth it to opt in or just go for the absolute max now which he can still get...I could be wrong tho...more so just wondering out loud

Even if kd doesn’t get max offers he can take the 30+ mil from gs and rehab then go for his Max. He jus better get his own drs. Them Niccas will probably fuck him up more for leaving

For y’all talking about other teams shouldn’t offer him a max .... did y’all see KD in game 5? None of that took athletic skill or explosiveness. Dude is gonna have that shot until he’s 40.

I was telling folk him at 50% in the first quarter was better than everyone on the floor.. he should have just cruised at 50% all game and he would have had 30pts easy with even having to drive to the basket ...

I said trash teams shouldn’t sign him if he’s taking a year off from basketball. Warriors could have him sit out and still contend. That makes more sense to me. A team that can still contend without him.

Kevin Durant (Achilles) reportedly views picking up the player option on his contract worth $31.5 million for the 2019-20 season as a last resort.

We still haven't heard the extent of KD's Achilles tear, but he's assuredly looking at a lengthy rehab process, and there's a chance he won't play at all next season. Still, he's expected to receive multiple max offer sheets from teams around the league, despite dealing with this devasting injury, and a new deal for KD would start with an annual salary of $38 million.
