The year Love and Kyrie wasn't able to play in the Finals, Lebron shot 39% in that Finals. The one game Kyrie played in, Lebron shot 47 percent. He shot 39% for the series.
Now, Lebron is an attack the rim guy, but he shot 39%. Why? Could it POSSIBLY be Lebron needs major scoring threats to create space for him to score, too?
I mean, we can't act like Lebron's method of scoring isn't highly predictable. He's going to penetrate in a straight line, and muscle you up at the basket to score. When you only have that to look for, its a lot easier to defend. But, when you're worried about Kyrie or Kevin Love, you can't buckle down on the freight train like you want to.
Even when Kyrie and Love aint' scoring, you can't ignore they're out there like you can with role players. That alone creates easier scoring opportunities.

...and Kyrie ALWAYS play at a higher level in the NBA Finals. Curry has YET to play above his regular season production levels scoring-wise in the Finals. Dude has played in the NBA Finals three times, and has shot 40 percent from three ONCE, and that was a straight 40 percent. The other two times he shot high 30s. Once again, dude has NEVER shot 30 percent in threes for a season, but has two out of three times at the Finals.
Kyrie has NEVER averaged better than 25 for a season, but the two series he completed who averaged over 25 per game. Now, get this, in the three Finals he's been able to play in, he's shot better than Curry from THREE in BOTH Finals.
Now, if we're going to talk stats, it seems Lebron's number two is statistically better than Durant's this year.

If Lebron doesn't win it all, its because his teammates failed him. No matter if that is consistent with reality at ALL, that will be the narrative. The NBA is for Lebron to dominate, and if he don't, everyone else has to wear the blame. When people pointed out earlier in the series that Lebron was playing subpar ball in the 4th quarter, people were saying he was tired, like he was the only person on the court expending energy.
Lebron has made up his mind its his job to try to grab all the boards and dish out the assists in addition to averaging 30. Cool. Don't let your teammates earn their keep, but don't claim you're gassed at the end of the game.
