ESPN ( or media) can loop images of fans burning a LeBron effigy or his jerseys, then choose to make the conversation about fans disliking him. Suddenly you, I, the barbershop, BGOL, whoever immediately gets into the conversation of if you like LeBron and why. What he does as a player, his talents, whatever is now minimized to "Do you or do you not hate Lebron?" and that's all any dialogue concerning LeBron becomes. Same thing goes for this LBJ vs MJ thing. They dwell on it, therefore we dwell on it.

So see what happened?

What I perceive as emotions being driven by something beyond sports (black guy I root for did something I don't like, I hate him now), is the only way which this man is being portrayed and all that the conversation becomes. This is all it has been for years. I'm not going to feed into that. They're both great. I can compliment LBJ as a great without having to qualify it in some way.

As someone earlier said, there's more visceral hate for someone that does everything RIGHT than for rapists and killers.

people see what they want to see..espn created the lebron godlike treatment he gets..they were nationally televising his highschool games..did ya forget that..they was calling him the next mj while he was still playing highschool bball did ya forget that?? he was dub king b4 he played his first nba game..nba gave cleveland yes rigged the draft so that cleveland could get the first pick to draft lebron did you forget that?? they were interviewing nba vets and asking them how does it feel to bout to play lebron..think how u gonna act like a vet should feel priviliged to step on a court with an unproven teen u forget that?? they gave that nig the red carpet like no other player b4 with being so young and unproven u forgot that?? lebron lovefest was started when he was damn near 16/17 yrs old

I know all of this AND they made money advertising The Decision. But that doesn't mean they're LeBron loyalists. They want money and they'll push the narrative that gets the most traction....and that's showing the hate towards them.

Westbrook didn't hold Durant back even though they clearly lacked synergy and the OKC offense was predictable.

OKC (and the NBA) ultimately led to the decision. Had OKC not let Harden go for a measly $400k Durant would have already had a ring. Low and behold his squad last year comes within one game (and would have won if the NBA had suspended Green for a clearly more blatant and intentional foul) and what does OKC do? Instead of paying Ibaka they get rid of him. Simply put, they fucked Durant again by trading away/losing a key piece when he was close.

So no, Westbrook isn't to blame but he's a weird muthafucka. Take that and Oklahoma versus San Francisco and team ball and there you have it.

So Bird wasn't shut down in an era where the league was tougher and the defense was tougher because of rules; but yet he would be shut down in today's softer nba:hmm:i think u need to actually read what you type before hitting submit
