Stick yo self!... Cousy.
This is sad, considering you're old enough to know better. Cous revolutionized the game. All of these fancy passes and crossover dribbles we like, he brought that shit to the NBA. Regardless of the team he played for or his skin color, Cous was a fucking beast. Deal with it. Btw, love the movie your quote is from!Stick yo self!
Pistol was a 2.Honorable mention: Pistol Pete - Pete’s dribbling and passing style opened up the game and broke with NBA traditionalist ideas for how the PG position should be run.
Pistol was a 2.
Correct. Which is why I said honorable mention.
While a 2 on the line-up sheet, on the floor, 50% of the time he was running point.
Pre merger cacs dont belong. Limited skillset, competition, and the league was like 12 teams and his had all the talent. The guy also barely had a left hand. If your Mt Rushmor is about representing eras, then i guess he can be in discussion. But is your Mt Rushmore is about the best players.... He has no place at this table. This is sad, considering you're old enough to know better. Cous revolutionized the game. How many rings that cracka got?Stockton record will never be broken.
Magic is magic
Oscar Rob did every damn thing
Jason Kidd had the highest BB iq on that list. He basically made the 2011 mavs unguardable.
And THIS is the problem with comparing players from different eras.Pre merger cacs dont belong. Limited skillset, competition, and the league was like 12 teams and his had all the talent. I disagree. The truly greats transcend eras. And you can objectively project how they would fare across eras if given access to that eras options. And THIS is the problem with comparing players from different eras.

How many rings that cracka got?
Nah, bruh. You have to factor in technology, medical breakthroughs and other things. If I had to chose between White Chocolate and Cousy, I'd pick the latter, because he was more athletic, BUT he wouldn't be doing the shit he did if Cous wasn't doing it first, AND on top of that, Cous played better D. There are players that can transcend eras, but there are modern players that I'd take over some HOFers from past eras. Not every great player can transcend to different eras. Could MJ, Shaq, Penny, Wilt, CB, & Dream work today? Yeah. But there are other all-time greats from past eras that wouldn't be as dominate as they were in their day. Who would you take today, Bill Russell or Shaq? Russell is an all-time great from a by gone era, but ain't nobody taking him over Shaq.I disagree. The truly greats transcend eras. And you can objectively project how they would fare across eras if given access to that eras options.
Earvin "Magic" Johnson-5x NBA champ, NCAA champ, 3x MVP, 3x Finals MVP, 3rd all time in in assists, 3rd all time in triple doubles
all i gotta say imagine if Magic`s career wasnt cut short ....( in his prime)
Yep, because the game was more physical back then.Man, Magic was clearly past his prime when he had to retire.
Careers were just shorter back then.
Yep, because the game was more physical back then.
can we get a round of applause for the omission of Allen Iverson on the list
Magic Johnson - Established a new paradigm. A Point Guard with the size of a Small Forward, who could slot into any of the 5 positions on the floor.
Oscar Robertson - He averaged a Triple Double. No more need be said.
Steve Nash - Unguardable, deep penetrating point guard with a 100 mph motor that lasted all game. He could flip a switch and go into pure scoring mode from anywhere on the floor. Fouling him made no difference. He had the highest free throw percentage in the NBA.
Jason Kidd - Often viewed as the best pure PG the league has ever seen and lauded for his court vision, offensive mind, leadership, floor coaching and passing ability. Any team that had him had two coaches, the one on the sideline in the suit and him in the floor.
Honorable mention: Pistol Pete - Pete’s dribbling and passing style opened up the game and broke with NBA traditionalist ideas for how the PG position should be run.
He brought creative passing concepts and angles, usually only seen in playground and street ball games, into the professional arena and was able to successfully execute them against some of the highest caliber athletes in the nation.
Yes. I accounted for technological differences and advances. And i said, all things equal, Cousy doesnt register and has NO place in this discussion. Where the fuck do you think a 5'11 (6 foot at BEST) non athletic white boy would rank across eras.. A one hand bandit that couldnt fucking shoot!!!Nah, bruh. Niggas buggin.Nash was not unguardable lol.
You are incorrect my good sirit doesn't matter just by his records alone.
