can we get a round of applause for the omission of Allen Iverson on the list

Was a 2 which is crazy when you realize he led the ‘01 Sixers to the Finals with his backcourt mate running point being Eric Snow.

Niggas buggin.

Nash got ran out of town in Dallas then got the D'Antoni system PED treatment and miraculously became a HOFer.
Apparently you’re a historical revisionist.
Nash did not get right out of Dallas, the phoenix suns simply offered him more money in a long-term deal
Mark Cuban still says it’s one of the biggest business mistakes in basketball he’s ever made-letting Nash go into free agency

He absolutely got run out. Cuban declined to offer him a deal competitive to what Phoenix did. They made a organizational decision to let him walk. This is fact my man.

Cubans hindsight regrets dont negate his real time in house business decision to let him walk because they didnt think he was worth his ask nor would he lead them to a title. None of this is debatable.

You and I have vastly different definitions of what it means to be run out of a franchise.
Melo was run out of the Knicks. So was Marbury.

Someone you’re running out of a franchise, you don’t offer a contract extension to.
Cuban made an offer based on what he thought was fair at the time. He was wrong.

You are incorrect my good sir

Based on what?

BTW, Chris Paul is the only active one that might challenge that assist number.

It's going to be hard to pass that number because of the way teams play offense these days. Everyone can pass, and grab assist in every position.

Stockton's record will be harder than Kareem's because of that.

Can we get a round of applause for "other" being selected 0 times with 73 votes in? Indicates a pretty good list to me, despite your favorite shooting guard not being on it.

The NBA's all-time assist leaders are, in order: John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Mark Jackson, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson and Chris Paul.

Why does the guy in fourth place in front of Magic get so much less respect than everyone else on the list?

:smh: that someone would even think that stupid shit, much less type it.
Nash was routinely among starting PGs with the highest assist to turn-over ratio, highest PPG, highest 3pt shooting %, highest FG% and highest FT% - and ended up the 2x MVP.
So tell me, who routinely shut Nash down?

:smh:

You said he was “unguardable.” Unguardable doesn’t mean that he couldn’t flourish while playing with athletic bigs, wings and good shooters in an offense designed to get a shot up in 7 seconds or less.

You know that right?

He played in a hi-tempo offense. He was a high tempo player even before playing under D’antoni’s scheme.

But
Who
Was
Shutting
Nash
Down?

You’ve given me every reason for why he could become a 2x MVP, but who could stop him?

No.

He wasnt a great player. He was very good in his era.

No shame in that.
actually he was.. I've routinely explained that his biggest flaw was playing in the same era as magic, zeke, and stockton... Magic won mvps , assist titles, mvp finals...zeke won assist title, finals mvp, Stockton won double digit amount of assist titles which means kj got overshadowed by 3 hall of famers... People always talk about top 3 p!ayers meanwhile everybody else get overshadowed... Juss think how many all star games are you gonna start when magic and stockton is in your same conference, how are you going to be nba first team when magic, zeke, and stockton are playing... I posted his first several yrs stat s that show his numbers were similar and even better than Chris Paul yet unfortunately in the 80 and 90 would be overlooked cause of 3 hall of fame point guards... Kj is 1 of the most underrated pg in the nba
