Sports betting is still not allowed in half the states and in many countries.. yes there is the illegal market but for the most part people watch cause their fans.. lot of people watching it for the entertainment factor.. the gambler percentage is lower than the view for free market.. I know tons of individuals who still won’t bet but will talk about sports for hours ( I give them flack about that).. more people are slowly coming towards the betting side.. remember I live in a die hard state that will watch a shitty team for decades and still believe they have a chance( looking at you Knicks fans).. there’s still a large demographic that watch for the love.. trust the sports betting industry hasn’t even touched close to its money potential yet..if and when all the states start allowing it, if they lower the betting age to 18, if they make it easier for the non tech heads( older generation) to gamble you will see the true money possibilities
