I don't use the word "tether" nor do I agree with making disparaging comments about Africans or Caribbean Black people. I think the stuff Nasheed is doing is hateful, and xenophobic and could potentially get somebody killed or spark a beef that could take years to smash.

At the same time, I think banning the word is a bad idea, it's not the same as ****** and the problem is that it forces moderators to look for that word to punish people but doesn't take into account if negative comments are being by African or Caribbean people towards American Black people.

If we are going to have the idea that all Black people are welcome here then we need to 100% across the board.

If BGOL is going to keep the spirit of "posting pics and talking shit" then there should be very little censorship and members should be able to either ignore or literally use the ignore feature to block members they don't want to see.

What sets this place apart from other forums is that the members here are expected to govern themselves accordingly. The only real rules here are don't post anything under 18, no gay material, and no piss or shit-related material, banning a word and essentially making one group a protected class goes directly against that idea and could lead to heavily disputed bans which could have a negative effect on the overall moral of this place.
