Fam I seen worse my guy way back in the day lived around 2nd Ave in the city and the bathroom was in the kitchen.
In fact I seen it around alphabet city too in those little studios on top of those Indian restaurants.
it called a cold water flat -
many of the buildings in that area of the city are from the turn of the century - and at the turn of the century you only had cold water IF you had any water at all...
so the kitchen and bath were on the same line
if you watch some old movies and cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s ( its even in the Honeymooners i think ) the bathtub is in the kitchen because it was cheaper to run one plumbing line into the apt. instead of two.
its not that uncommon - if you brought a building that hadnt been updated youd basically have to gut the whole building and run the two lines one for the bath and another for the kitchen if you couldnt put both rooms on the same line
