If they were making non food purchases it was with public assistance.

There are a few different ways people end up with large amounts of PA or SNAP on a card
It can be after an apartment / house fire.
or back dated benefits because of errors in social services, or an extended hospital stay or shelter stay or getting out of a shelter

How do you figure a lot of people abuse? What's the total number of ebt card users in america? What if you found out that "lot of people" was only 1-10 percent.. If 2 million people were on ebt and 200,000 people abused it that would still only be 10 percent of the total users , do you think the 1.8 million or 90 percent should suffer cause of 10 percent?.. This food package situation is eliminating the whole ebt card.. So this is the food they will have to survive on for the next month, there is no special request, consideration for allergies or religion beliefs, this is the take it or leave it package... So do you still agree with this procedure of humans only surviving off this kinda food

Let's take a step back for a sec. I was solely going off my experience as a teen. I may be completely ignorant to the facts right now. Actually, i am completely ignorant to the facts right now as i don't have an EBT card nor do i know of family members or friends that have one. I formulated an opinion as a teen that I've yet to let go of based off prior interactions and experiences with people who had them. When i worked at Target, I saw about 20+ different people, probably over the course of 3-4 days with EBT. They all didn't take money out of the card, but some of them were dressed better than me. I formulated an opinion that if you can afford luxuries, then you shouldn't need an EBT card.
Now, like i've stated already. I support any initiative that forces them to use the money for food including actually giving them the food. I should have prefaced my statement by saying "food they want" and absolutely "no cash incentive".
I support government aids for people who actually NEED it and hate to see people abuse things because it's free. Hence the reason i insinuated that your previous point about "force me to eat certain kinds of food, beds etc" made little to no sense about my situation.

when everyone is on same page.... from developers, owners, and city employees and politicians -

now the only new section 8 slots are local to the apartment(s), and the landlord can pick and choose the tenants from the

qualified applicants... if you move... you lose section 8, unless you are lucky enough to get accepted by another section 8 apt / landlord

There's foodstamps which is an,ebt card,link card whatever it's called in your state and wic which is for women with small babies/kids,there's also other government programs for the sick and elderly that provide them meals be it at a day program,center,or delivered to them
