Yeah, I just hate the narrative that he did it by himself just because he was the first Finals MVP without another superstar since 04 (edit: or I guess since Dirk). They definitely needed him but I feel like the rest of the team was unfairly depicted as being carried by him. (And, of course, what they needed most was help from the injury gods regardless.)

Low key this small ball is growing on me... although we've lost 2 of the last 3, we beat the bigger Lakers and if not for that buzzer beater we'd have beaten a big Utah team as well. We're not getting killed on the boards, have tons of space to drive to the hoop, and the defense seems to have gotten better.

Y'alls 2 losses aren't necessarily the result of small Ball either. Russ didn't play against Phoenix so who knows how that would've gone if he was there and of course tonight was a buzzer beater so it wasn't like you guys were outplayed. Small ball success for y'all is predicated on having your two MVP's out there and playing well.
