Also targeting DeMarre Carroll after buyout is complete from San Antonio. Going all in on small ball. They tried to get DJ away from Jersey but they declined, so they said fuck it... open up the lane for Russ and James, surround them with shooting and go for it.

It'll be interesting these last few games... been playing a little more consistent, defense seems to be picking up, not getting killed on the glass, and we've shown that if teams get suckered into going small with us they'll be hard pressed to match our shooting...

They both were having a bad year so far shooting 3s but I'm cool with this move. I think they'll play better in this system and both are good defenders.

I just want them to drag opposing big men away from the rim. Give Russ all the space he needs to attack... draw and kick out to wide open 3s... or easy buckets at the rim...

This is how I always pictured this Harden and Westbrook tandem working...

@Picasso since buzzer beaters and "last shot" scenarios are the end all be all in GOAT discussions, I think we can safely say "Iso" Joe Johnson is the 2nd greatest player of all time. Dude was more clutch than Kobe, Bron, Kareem, Magic, etc.

Also, in todays game most buzzer beater attempts are 3 pointers. Your "GOAT" NEVER EVER was known as a last second 3 point shooter and ALWAYS deferred in those situations. Kerr, Tucker, Hodges, Paxson, Buechler, Kukuc, etc would have to do it. Notice he aint even listed in that category. But if LeBron passes or bricks a last second 3 in the playoffs, the stans start invoking "The GOAT" and how he wouldve easily hit from 30 feet with his eyes closed.

To every member reading this, I Never said anything regarding MJ and “Buzzer Beaters”.

I Never mentioned anything about a “Last Shot”, even though Mike hit “The Last Shot”.

I’m not sure if I even said he was “The Greatest” or the GOAT.

As a matter of fact, nobody mentions MJ except for this guy.

I’m not sure what Mike did to you, but I wish he didn’t do it.

And for your troubles, yes MJ did miss shots and missed game winners.

Bro he can't stick to his own argument or topic of discussion to save his life.

He'll start talking about shoes, ownership, anything at all... but whatever he says it'll have ZERO RELATION to the points you made in your post.

I got this dude on ignore.... sometimes it's best to just be done with people like him... after a while you begin looking like the fool...

Why would anyone seriously "debate" or talk sports with a poster who puts people on ignore in sports discussions. This dude and JackWalsh easily the most sensitive ez bake oven sports posters on BGOL. And neither drops bball knowledge or history.

@HotNixon36 since you so big on averages...

Wilt Chamberlain is the GOAT. :itsawrap:

What is his career averages for regular season and playoffs compared to Jordan?

Something don't add up? Wilt was great, and dominated everybody smaller than him, in an 8 team league, but he did not dominate Kareem.

But I respect him, and understand why senior citizens that saw him play live, would call him the GOAT.

Can't wait till everybody's "dream matchup" of Lakers/Clippers gets canceled in the playoffs.

Agreed man, Clippers getting all these players stacking their roster’s bullshit!

To teach them a lesson, I hope the Clippers don’t even make the playoffs.

While,I wanted Beilein to leave after the thugs comment. A certain player that will remain nameless didn't help the situation either...And,then you have people in the media(nationally and locally) say he's a NBA champion, like that matter. He should be thanking Lebron for wanting him because,if he wasn't on this team,he'll still be on Minnesota rotten away not winning shit.

There's a story that came out today that said this all started when this player didn't want to practice for two days in a row, even though he missed most of last season...

You would think that it would make sense but he acts like he's on Lebron's and Kyrie's level when he's not.

Until, the Cavs get rid of this piece of shit, I'm like fuck him.

Tom Thibodeau reportedly in the running for New York Knicks job
By Dan Santaromita February 18, 2020 2:58 PM

As an NBA Coach of the Year winner without a job, Tom Thibodeau’s name is bound to come up for a number of vacancies around the league. This one, though, has a bit more spice to it.

Thibodeau is being connected to the New York Knicks’ head coaching job by the New York Post. Villanova coach Jay Wright was rumored to be a candidate for new Knicks president Leon Rose, but Wright isn’t likely to leave Villanova. The Post’s reporting said Thibodeau is interested in the job and could be among the frontrunners.
Thibodeau, who coached the Bulls from 2010-2015 and won Coach of the Year in 2011, has been out of a job since leaving the Minnesota Timberwolves in January 2019. Both of his exits, from the Bulls and Timberwolves, came with some drama, but he has a proven track record. Thibodeau guided the Bulls to the best record in the NBA in both 2010-11 and 2011-12 and made the playoffs in all five of his seasons. He also led the 2017-18 Timberwolves to 47 wins, the most for the franchise since 2003-04.
He has expressed an interest to return to coaching and the Knicks are in dire need of some stability. It’s a fit for both sides if Thibodeau can put up with the current state of the Knicks.
Seeing Thibodeau coaching another team might have been weird for Bulls fans when he was in Minnesota. Seeing Thibodeau with the Knicks? Now, that would be something.
