What's so amazing about it?
Nobody talks about Petrović as one of the best shooters of all time..
He want back to his middle school and became a assistant coach just because his old coach was dealing with chemo and cancer. And Penny just wanted to be there for a group of street kids that the rest of the world would have given up on. But Penny knew they could ball and they just needed that guidance from an O.G. Now he coaching some of those kids on the college level.
I'd highly recommend listening to the whole All the Smoke episode. You can really tell that Penny is a true OG baller who doing it for the community and the culture.

Crazy to think it will have been 27 years this June since he passed at 28yo. The years ahead he could have had in pro play, as well as being in some type of coaching if he chose that route afterward.
He definitely would have at the least been an assistant for many years.

Let's just all agree that Petrovic was a top 5 shooter in his era and leave it at that. There is no good way of ranking top 5 shooters ever without acknowledging the vast differences in play styles of each era.
I don't think we'll be seeing sports again until like 2022.
I just hope Joel is resting easy knowing that he spent the majority of his prime launching 3s instead of dominating the paint. I hope other players are taking notes. You can't waste a second of time during your prime because you never know what tomorrow may bring.
Top 15 shooters of all time is certainly not a knock on him by any stretch though. Just think of how many great ones they have been/are in the league.C'mon Jack you're better than that
